When we played at Trinity in 2002, the field was painted green!
Small world...I was actually at that game.  Matter of fact, that was the day I met and made friends with Johnnie Red!  He was rather stunned to see somebody in a Bethel shirt in the middle of Texas. :D

I was sitting behind a couple of Trinity fans who discussed leaving at halftime.  I politely pointed out to them that I had played enough games against SJU to know that the fight wasn't nearly over yet.  Once the comeback started, the look on their faces quickly escalated from nervous, to fear, to all-out panic.  Time just ran out on SJU that day, but the effort from Blake Elliot (deathly sick with the flu) and the rest of the team made me proud to be a MIACer.

That was also the game where later that night the Trinity QB went downtown, got loaded, and fell into the river! ;D  After being arrested for that little stunt, he was suspended for the Stagg Bowl and they got beat.  Way to put your team first, bro! :-\
The artist formerly known as Carl Spackler... it's nice to be back!

maybe BU needs to consider having the Music festival at night. In the past, it has caused parking chaos for home basketball games scheduled that day, too.

Oh, come on.  Why would the music department have to adjust their schedules around athletics?  The Festival of Christmas is an incredible event and an incredible draw to campus -- I believe around 10,000 people attend the Festival each year.

See where copying UST gets you?  It starts with holding hands and the next thing you know people are arguing to kill the Christmas concert for football.

Get your calendars out, here are the 2014 and 2015 SJU football schedules!

I have a question maybe someone here can answer. Looking at SJU's schedule for next year, 5 out of the 8 MIAC games are at the same location as this year (at St. Thomas, at St. Olaf, at Gustavus and home games against Bethel and Hamline). Why don't they just alternate locations each year?

I also noticed that they put the first round playoff game on the schedules. At least they didn't list it as a home game.  ;D

I believe all scheduling oddities can be attributed to Macalester leaving the conference in football at the end of 2001.
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

LOL. When North Central first listed a playoff game on their upcoming schedule (several years ago), they got ripped by the supporters for the other CCIW teams.

What's the skinny on Peterson - anyone got any inside info? As I have perused the other boards, most are predicting a NCC win because he is out of the line up. Others are complaining about the probable field condition and parking. We need someone from on campus that has info to spill. I'm not a twitterer so I've not seen a picture of the supposed cover over the field - can someone copy and paste to this board - or share a link? Looks to be bitterly cold on Saturday. I am really hoping this is a game that Bethel gets control of early and forces NCC to adjust and not vice-versa. The Royals need to come together around their new QB to show that the Wartburg finish was not a fluke.

I can see where that could affect things for a few years, but that was 13 years ago. Just looking at Bethel and SJU, they have alternated every year for the last 6 years, so I doubt Macalester is the reason BU will be playing at SJU again next year. There has to be another reason.

Yeah, St. Thomas did that this year and listed it as a home playoff game and got ripped pretty good for it. They eventually updated the schedule and removed the 'home' part of it.

No, let's not give the skinny on Peterson!! Even if someone has the inside scoop on whether he will or won't play, why would we want to make that public knowledge and help NCC game plan  ??? :o

REPEAT...If someone has inside info, keep it private and off the boards. Let's all swallow our curiosity for the good of the team here fellas!

Agreed.  If you happen to have a conversation with someone who is in the know, that sort of thing isn't to be shared here.
