Maybe they will heat the press box with the Bethel players hair driers. Should be enough of them to get the job done.

Coach J said they are already using the blow driers for the field... ;D

assistant coaches goal: get assigned press box duty or scout next weeks opponent on livestream from library computer

Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think the press box at Bethel is heated.  At least there would be protection from the wind.

That hip hop music they play at Bethel should help keep everyone warm.

I had an overnight shift in there when I was a student security officer to keep idiots from causing trouble with the field or stands the night before homecoming...it was indeed heated.  Just those little wall unit space heater deals.

I may or may not have busted a former poster from this board who was trying to cause the afformentioned trouble.

Come on man, name names.

Good luck to the Bethel Royals today in Arden Hills.
I entertained the idea of going to the game today, but just checked my thermometer( I live 51 miles northwest of the campus) and -14*F I'm staying home to watch on the inter-webs. Good thing Bethel has streaming video  ;)

To any fans traveling to the stadium today, remember to layer, layer, layer. Goretex,Thinsilate and battery operated heating gloves.  I have a pair of  Baffin blizzard boots rated at -100*F I would consider leasing for the day  :D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I'm all for old school outdoor football but today is bordering on being dangerous for the players. Currently -24 with wind chill factor and not expected to get a whole lot warmer by game time. Hope the players from both teams can stay warm enough and not get any frost bite. With that said - GO ROYALS!!!!!!

It's shaping up to be a lot like a game UMD had 2 or 3 years ago in the playoffs. I think it was the semis maybe...but bitterly cold and brutal wind chill.

Game ON!!

I am sure NCC fans would love for as many Bethel fans as possible to stay home and watch online. Way too cold to attend a football game today, right Cardinal fans?

I remember watching part of the game (I think it was NW Mo St) as I knew coach/player on both teams. Making matters worse, I believe it was a late afternoon or night game!

If only John Facenda were around to artfully describe the conditions for this game as if it were an NFL Films production of the 1967 Ice Bowl...

Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Yep, it was NW Missouri St. And yes, I think you're right, it was a night game. I just remember thinking that was the coldest football game I'd ever seen.
