Just wait, I'm sure things will continue to get more and more ridiculous.

There will be some knucklehead school administrator that will attempt to do something like this with field turf:

While I am not a fan of the floor, I appreciate it's nod to the past. Before UO became the Ducks, they were the Tall Firs.  8-)

The 10 - Best of the tough stuff 2013

Grant Birchall from Hawthorn lays out a couple guys in the top 10, which is nice to see, but the #1 hit by a Greater Western Sydney player is a 'straight to the hospital' affair.

Finally took a look this morning, thanx for posting the link. Definitely some hitting and tackling going on.

Merry Chrismas to all on the board, their families, and friends. It looks a lot like Chrismas here in the upper Mid-west.

Merry Christmas MIACPP! +k's. Half of my son's hockey team and their head coach were at Mass last night. I thought he might order them to do some killers afterwards.  ;) (That's blue line back, red line back, blue line back etc.)

Gag me!

That'd be enough to make me transfer schools.

I thought it looked ugly. But I gave them a total pass because I knew the backstory about their HC dying right before the season started. That's a traumatic deal, and likely makes their 'family' claim totally legit and not the least bit gimmicky.

Wasn't playing real close attention.  It took me a few plays to notice they all had FAMILY on their jersey.  I thought thought that Family dude was really making a lot of plays.   ::)

Piers Morgan, for those of you that may watch CNN, was lipping off to a retired Aussie cricket fast bowler, Brett Lee.  In his hey day Lee could bowl at just short of 100 mph.  So Morgan ends up in the nets at the MCG (nets are for warm ups) during a break in Australia v England action and he faced 6 balls from Lee. Lee can only hit the low 90's now. Oh, and bean ball is a legal and key part of the fast bowler's game.

Good Lord, some of those look awful.  I took some hard tackles in my rugby days, but requirement to stay onside gave you a better idea where they were coming from, and since you are required by rule to at least attempt to wrap a player up, you couldn't just throw a shoulder into a guy like some of the biggest hits from that video.

Oz - Is all of the recent awareness about concussions and their long lasting effect having any impact on Aussie rules football?
