Happy New Year everyone.

Is 2014 safe?  I'm prepared to turn the clocks back before it's too late if Australia can't handle the new year.

Fun Facts: Central Florida beat Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl last night.  UCF started as a Division 3 team in 1979 and are one of ten teams to make the playoffs or a bowl game in 3 different divisions.  In their case they made it in D2, FCS and now FBS.

Towson (formerly known as Towson State) is another one of those ten teams to make the playoffs in 3 different divisions having played and lost against St. John's 31-28 in the 1976 Stagg Bowl.  Towson faces one of the best teams in the history of the planet on Saturday for the FCS title.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOcVyVWJG4U He looks to be in good spirits.  They'll throw him out there on some running downs.  Hopefully they won't need him to play too much.

Texas Ole

I grew up a huge TCU fan.  BayLOL often likes to act like they TCU's main rival which is laughable to most TCU fans.  I attend First Baptist in Dallas with countless Baylor fans.  Our Sunday School class had a watching party for the game last night.  The meltdown on Facebook has been pretty good.  The meltdown at the event last night was darn near epic.  They wanted to fire the coaching staff they just signed to a major extensions and loved just a few hours ago.  I thought I was going to have to teach all of them to drink.  The best one came on the BayLOL fan site which actually crashed last night with all of the posts.

A perfect day would go something like this.... Sitting at the counter of a Waffle House near Tuscaloosa, Alabama drinking coffee & reading the paper while listening to the chatter at near by tables of how Nick Saban is the worst coach in the history of football...  ::)

I know a Syracuse grad who has been on the "fire Boeheim" rant for years. How does one go about explaining that type of mentality?

You won't be watching the game if they fail to sell 3,000 more tickets by 4:00 today. The game is on the verge of being blacked out by the NFL:

"If the game against the San Francisco 49ers isn't sold out, there will be a blackout in local TV markets, including Green Bay, the Fox Cities, Milwaukee and Wausau."

However, I'm sure the Packers (or maybe their sponsors) will purchase the remaining tickets to avoid this.

I bet the television and radio stations buy the remaining tickets.
