So the current mock drafts are showing Manzel going to the Viks in the first round.  As you are a well respected group, I would like your take on this move.

This is an interesting question. Will the Vikings (or any other Minnesota sports franchise) do the expected? If you haven't noticed,Minnesota is a major championship wasteland. If not for the Lynx (WNBA) Twins of 20+ years ago and some Gopher hockey,wrestling & women's B-ball over the past decade we'd be in real rough shape.
As one Twin Cities Sports Radio talk show host asks (rhetorically) "What product do big times sports teams sell?" think real hard before you answer GHC. If you think it's "entertainment", well then you are wrong.  Answer: "Big time sports teams sell "Hope". How else could the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves & Wild sell season ticket packages if not for hope?
-->Now, will the Vikings draft (or trade up...mortgaging their future,like they did to get Hershel Walker) Johnny Manzel? The answer is definitely....maybe

Despite the perceived liabilities of Bridgewater, which could lower his stock and make him available, I think he would be a better choice than Johnny.

I think those fields ruin the atmosphere of football. Call me an old codger if you must but I think they murder the gridiron spirit.

And as for the diamond backs, I hope they never win another game.

Actually, Diamond Ranch Academy, home of the Diamondbacks, is a residential treament center and boarding school for troubled teens.

I wish the youth attending and participating nothing BUT success.

The Vikings will probably take him if he is available at whatever pick they end up with. He is much better than what they have now and he would get the fans excited about the upcoming season; sell tickets, jerseys etc. QB's need to have swagger and he has plenty of that. After saying that I personally want them to pick up/trade for a veteran QB and take Clowney with their first pick. The defense was brutal last year.

As a matter of opinion, this is the last kind of football field trouble teens need. How about that ! 

A football field is a beautiful thing. Blue fields, diamond back designs etc. are gross.
