I'm not sure if anyone else saw this, but Daerek Wilson (6-0, 200, Fr., San Antonio, Texas/Reagan) made one hell of a play on a 4th quarter kickoff after an SJU field goal, almost knocking a Gustavus player unconscious. He pretty much blew up the Gustie kick return by himself.

He's a guy I'm going to be keeping my eye on.

Footage of the hit can be found at 2:32:50 of the Gustavus webcast.

Sam,the kid is Special Teams Player of the Week!

Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Never bet on emotions! But bet on the facts is usually my rule! My wife expects me to lose once in a while, but I am still up for the season😄 but it was a bet I regretted once I made it! Oh well it's the last time I bet the Bears...unless the line on Bears Packers game is attractive, very attractive! Probably bet the over!

I don't know if I am that hardworking just been very very lucky...except when I bet as a fan!!!

ChicagoTommie

Hey don't hold back now I enjoy the banter! I really enjoy the smack talk...I am the one who usually crosses the line😬 I enjoy MIAC brotherhood...I have been tracking business opportunities in Minnesota, just to have a excuse to get my A$$ up there more offen. I am chasing an opportunity for my firm by the Mountain Iron mine and others in Minnesota and my daughter is getting ready to apply to some MIAC schools. So I expect I will eventually be in the area more and more😄

I mentioned to another Bethel alum during the game that I was surprised how out schemed UST seemed to be on Saturday. Aside from the onside kick and another quirky play in the 3rd Q, Bethel seemed to have the upper hand in X's and O's and play calling. I wondered if there'd been assistant turnover at UST that I wasn't aware of.

I don't know how Johnson played them, but Fasching had the "hands team" out on every kick-off. Caruso is becoming so predictable, during the SJU game, everyone in the stadium knew he was going to fake the FG in the 1st half and it was stopped. The Cobbers will be prepared and even though it pains me to say it, SJU needs the Toms to beat the Cobbs. I believe Horan & the Cobbs will come out on top in this one. Oh well, SJU should be a strong Pool C team after knocking off the Auggies,Bethel & Olaf to round out the schedule.

#1 I'll go with Concordia as well...last year the Toms had two losses when they played the Cobbers but still believed there was a snowballs chance in hell that they could make the playoffs.  This time around their playoff goose is cooked.  Coming of a decimating loss against BU I doubt even Coach Caruso can pull the F.A.M.I.L.Y. together to win this one.  What this game will show is how will he can motivate and coach his players to play out the season.

#2 SJU @ Augs....this has setup game written all over it...reminds of last year when the Johnnies traveled to GAC.  Playoff hopes were still alive and just couldn't get the job done.  The Johnnies are healthy and a steady dose of Sura should be enough to get the job done...but this game still scares the crap out of me.

Feel free to talk among yourselves.....

You don't owe anyone here an apology ChicagoTommie. Your wife, maybe, but nobody here.  ;)

You are an original and you make no pretense to be anything else. And you sound like a hard working American dad as well.

Good on you for supporting your family and your team no matter what.

Betting on the Bears however, might be a little dicey.  8-)

Ha!  Belly laugh.

Oh, I sure hope she's becomes a Bennie.  Your head might explode like in Scanners.

ChicagoTommie

Her decision! But you're right...my head would explode! my son is lobbying her right now! But she likes Carleton and then Boston College but she has yet to explore the Bennies! but she will because it will rub me the wrong way😄 but again I would let her make her own decision😳 I will influence her the best I can but that will back fire because she will is very independent, like her mother!
