Mongo - You've gotta love big, dumb Norwegians who have names like that. I love the thought of him wearing one of those fancy vests on the streets of Vegas at 4am.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Little MORE bad news- speaking of landmarks closing: The LaPlayette will be sold soon.  It will most likely be closed this summer and knocked down this fall to make room for a strip mall/apartment type complex.  Any potential buyers should speak up soon!!  I know a good bartender who would help out on weekends...  ;D

Please, say it isn't so.  The La is an institution.  I'm not sure I could drive through
St. Joe knowing the La was gone.

Unfortunately, it IS so...  not a surprise though- I speak from experience when I say that Ace wasn't exactly a savvy businessman...

I'll be chaining myself to the horseshoe in protest when the wrecking ball comes down... >:(

Maybe you should give up the teaching gig and become a small business owner :D

I'm thinking we should form a human chain to protect the institution that is the La.

While you're deciding how to protect the local landmark (which I'll be sure to visit this weekend), and since your NCAA brackets are likely all shot to hell by now, here's another bracket for you to fill in and compare your results with others: MuellerTourney

How does Elizabeth Hurley get a 16 seed??  And Stacy Keibler is a 10 seed??    Gonna be a bracket buster here too!
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Personally i don't think Salma Hayek needs to be a one seed but hey I've been known to pick 16's over 1's before  :D

KS always knew there was a reason that Texas made KS nervous.

That is the last place I expected that to happen.  Perhaps a bunch of Dems looking for the Bush daughters?  Gosh almighty, if they ever go undercover at the Salt Lick outside of Austin they'll need more paddy wagons than they can count.

Maybe they were actually rounding up GW's and Dick's hunting buddies.   ;D

KS, My guess is you would have to be drunk to want to hunt with Cheney these days.  ;)
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Why does Texas have such a problem with public intoxication?

Do I still seem bitter? ::)
