Fins,

Nice picture of the "Land Yacht" I also think Wicker couldn't have been prouder of his new T-shirt. That was a classic homecoming issue.

Good to see you at the standup.

I thought it was a fun program.

Is it fall yet? Leaves are off the trees and the days are short on day light.

Nine will  be fine!
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Ok, I've talked myself down from the ledge now after the Friday night gopher puck effort.  Holy Cross deserved to win, and that just stings.  If you watched the gophers during their run, you would have seen the talent to raise another gold banner at Mecca, so watching them choke because of a lack of effort is heartbreaking.

They kinda came out like the Johnnies did against UWW.  Two of these in one year!  I can't take much more of this!

At least now when I go to Milwaukee I can wear the SJU hockey jersey to cheer on Adam Hanna in the FF skills challenge!

{Sigh} At least the Sioux and Badgers are representing the WCHA {sigh, spit out bad taste in my mouth for saying that}

Is it August yet?

I heard Kilted Rat was on vacation. He wasn't by chance visiting Bellaire, Ohio, was he?

Fins,
I was not anywhere near Ohio, I was somewhere much warmer... where the Mai Tai's flow like wine and beautiful women instinctively flock like Salmon to Capastrano.

Interesting, Bellaire, Ohio has a cross dresser, Virginia has a Bellaire cross dresser... coincidence?

Hey, looks like curtains for Melvins     http://www.wctrib.com/articles/index.cfm?id=5758&section=homepage   As far as I'm concerned, the dude is kind of a d-bag anyway, and now he's going to let some developers tear down a Spicer Landmark.  Anybody with a few extra clams to throw in and save this fixture of Green Lake??

What the hell is going on?

I go on Vacation for 1 week, and Melvin's and the La are shutting down?

I'd like to think I wasn't THAT big a part of their income, but damn!

Admit and anyone else in the Stearns/Kandiyohi county areas this summer,

Once I get through this semester and my first round of boards (end of May for Boards and semester ends June 30) I propose we stage a rotating drink-in at Melvin's and the La as long as it takes to keep those fine establishments running!

Any place that lets you design and create your own beer mug that (La) or any place where LAB's friends can get on 40+ year old MILFs is fine by me!

Interesting side note, if Melvin's does close, KR's pop-in-law recently purchased an old cabin on the shores of scenic Lake Jesse across the street from their house.
This cabin is rumored to contain at least 2 beds and numerous human sized pieces of floor and grass for MIAC fans of all denominations to pass out upon. More information will follow this summer and questions will be answered at the drink-ins.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Sign me up!     Hmmm- I'm sensing drunken canoe rides in the near future...
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

For the record, New England has the best DI/NCAA hockey......it's science!!

You must be right U89. Half the teams in the Frozen Four are from the East, while the lowly WCHA only has 2 teams.
Look for a Sioux sweep.

A sioux sweep only because the lowly rug rodents choked. Holy Cross......wow they must be good.

KiltedRat- Welcome home and what a relief to hear that that wasn't you in Bellaire, Ohio. I suppose by now the blood is beginning to flow back into your mai tai system.

Raider Guy- Good to see you as well. The "land yacht" has now emerged from the snow drift that held it all winter. It will get some much needed attention soon now that the ice fishing season has officially ended for me. Fins III and I had our last trip on the slushy ice yesterday and caught 20-25 sunnies. But the ice by shore broke off as we drove onto and off of the lake. Looks like spring has sprung and football will start in only 5 months.
Sounds like a lot of beers will be going down at Melvin's between now and then.

No Watchmen, the Sioux will sweep because they are the best team in the tournament. Give Holy Cross credit, they were the best team on the ice vs. the Golden Chokers. If the rodents had done what they expected was just going to happen by lacing up their skates, i.e. beat Holy Cross, their season would've been extended by only one day.

That could be true. The rodents were not playing their best hockey when they entered the tourney. Two straight loses in the WCHA tourney including a 8-7 loss to SCSU!! and a 4-0 loss to Wisconsin in the third place game. While the Sioux won their two games. I think the Sioux would have beat the Gophers if they had played but that doesn't mean they were the better team. Remember Dec. 9th and 10th.....in Grand Forks?

I remember. The Sioux weren't the best team then. They are now.

And I disagree that beating someone doesn't mean you're the better team. If not for the score, how does one judge? Just "being the Gophers" doesn't automatically make them the better team. Annointing works in religion, not sports.

Ok Fins, the Sioux can be the best team now but the Gophers were the best team in the nation until the WCHA tourney....which doesn't count for much. I will be rooting for the Sioux just because I got no one left to cheer for.

The scary part about the Sioux is how young they are! They play 8 or 9 freshmen. At least three are true frosh( Toews, Lee, Oshie). They also got the #1 player out of Wisc coming in next year. He chose UND over UM and UW!

UW got all they wanted from Cornell last night. I thinkwe will have an all WCHA title game. Mark it down, you read it here first.

Badgers and the Sioux have the two hottest goalies in the tourney.
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

I'm not sure the December 9th and 10th in Grand Forks arguement will hold much weight with us Husky fans.  After all, SCSU also swept UND at their place but much later in the season, Jan. 27th and 28th.
