Ooooooh, that hurts!  Geelong footballer James Kelly suffered a split testicle in the game against Richmond today. It's often said that an achilles injury is the most painful you can suffer but I reckon Kelly just beat that.

Since it is beyond dead here in MIAC-land I feel it is about time to "spill the beans" on another Bethel recruit. One of the best local HS running backs has committed to BU; Gunnar Bloom of Rogers. I have watched this young man tear up the Mississippi 8 his entire HS career. He is a very nice RB that will be a home run threat for Bethel.  Similar to Sura at SJU but more fleet of foot, faster in the open and maybe not quite as powerful inside the tackles. He had some D2 offers, but I always thought he would end up in the MIAC somewhere. Actually surprised Caruso hasn't poached him but his brother went to Bethel so I think you are safe hazzben.

I think some of the Bloom is off the rose @U$T.   ;D

I passed this truck for a concrete polishing business the other day. A little butt crack never hurt in making a memorable advertisement.

Hawthorn and North Melbourne, two teams that had a fiercely physical rivalry in the 70's but which have played quite civilly against each other since until the last couple seasons, later each other last night in a hard and often dirty affair. #2 and I went to the game in Melbourne's domed stadium.

I think our captain, Luke Hodge, and vice-captain, Jordan Lewis, are both looking at a couple weeks on the sidelines for some undisciplined play in the first quarter. Highlights below.

Quite the contrary in the Chicagoland area...it's in FULL bloom down here. There are some absolute whales going to UST from this way. I'm not sure about the overall inbound class outside of Chicago area, but I know the list from down here is extremely strong. Momentum continues to build in this market.

I decided to poke my head out of my law school cave to find that Frank will still be covering SJU football for the SC Times.

Glad to see he'll be back for football (and it looks like only football, right?)

Yes, good for SJU, and good for the MIAC as well, I'd say....I appreciate that Ruesse drops in a couple of MIAC stories every year, but outside of d3football, Frank is the best source for coverage that really knows the conference, players, and coaches.

After reading of the QB & RB heading to Bethel and the stalwart recruiting class from the greater Chicago area heading to U$Td in the fall, I just sent an email to Tom Stock asking that he mercifully withdraw from the MIAC schedule for the 2015 season. Perhaps taking a year off to regroup and find some crumbs on the recruiting trail and maybe comeback in 2016.....  :'(  that's all I've got.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Totally agree....maybe SJU should just join whatever league MAC or St. Scholastica are playing in...there's not way we can compete w/ BU and U$T any longer.  :( :'( ;)
