I saw that it had patio seating on Friday as I passed through going to Spicer. It wasn't me you saw.
I will stop in & get a growler and post an update. It's a tough job,but someone needs to do it  ;D

We'll stop one of these days.  I'm usually just in a rush to get to the lake, but it's a good stopping point for dinner--we'll bring a picnic and feed the kids while we enjoy a pint.

Just about to head out the door and make the drive to Collegeville to pick the little one up from Leadership Camp.  Really looking forward to spending a day on the most beautiful campus in
....... the  world  :)

You might be right....it was an absolutely glorious day to be in Collegeville.  Almost didn't want to come home.
It was so peaceful up there today.  I snapped a few photos.

Neat pictures.  So was the gym from the set where games used to be played?  Was there more seating in there at the time if so?

Yes the Old Gym (Rat Hall / Guild Hall) was where played basketball until 1972.  It was built in 1901 and was probably state of art for the time period.  I'm pretty sure there was more seating at one time.  I believe SJU Prep still plays games there.

It almost burned down near the end of my freshman year.  A few years ago I was chatting w/ a friend down here in St. Paul and found out he was the guy that shot the bottle rocket that started the fire.  :o

I love those old gyms with the barn style ceilings.  Two Harbors had one that was one of my favorite places to play an away game back in HS, but since then they've traded it out for a sterile (albeit nice) modern style square gym.

Had a few hours to kill in the south Metro on Saturday so we drove by the River Bluff Dental Clinic to check out the anti-dentite protesters. There were no protesters, signs, stuffed animals or anything. Just a portable floodlight in the parking lot that the police probably put there. Looked like a normal closed dental office on a Saturday.

The only indication that there had been something different happening around there recently was a business next door neighbor that had homemade "Private Property" signs up at their driveway.

I suppose when the media left the protesters did too and someone got in there and cleaned things up outside.

BDB, I like that that is how you chose to kill a few hours!  ;D

Ha! Yes my son and I had 5 hours between matches at a tennis tournament he was in at Edina. We were scratching for all kinds of ways to kill some time.

I might have opted for some "sight seeing" at Lake Calhoun.  :o

105,

What's the skinny on the new Spilled Grain taproom in Annandale?  It's been open the past few Fridays as we've headed out to the lake, but I haven't stopped yet.  I did a double take on Friday because there was a guy sitting on the patio that I thought was you on first glance.

Well hey, as long as I am now a Kimball resident, maybe we should just meet there for a group taste.

Then people driving by will think it was us.

If the protesters weren't at the dentist's office were they at Lake Calhoun?  I've lost track of where they are now.

Any Spotify users here?  I recommend the "Discover Weekly" playlist. Good tunes that turn over every Monday.

I cancelled NetFlix after just one month. Too little time and too little content worth using that limited time on.

I thought your residence was in rural Marty. Kimball must be the post office serving rural Marty.

And yes, a group tasting could be arranged. I did discover they are currently open Thurs.-Saturday.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
