I'm interested to see the result of the Wartburg/Bethel matchup this weekend.  I'm also interested in the Concordia/UW-EC game.  Is U$T that good, or is UW-EC that bad?  U$T should roll over UW-LAX, and SJU should roll over BV.  The outcome of the Hamline/Mac game should tell us something about Mac, too.

Me too!  Went with Wartburg in pickem, but hoping to be wrong.  I feel good about the BU offense, lots of weapons there even with an inexperienced QB.  A little more shaky on defense, especially given the loss of Mathis...hopefully BU fans can feel better about that group after Saturday!

I've been thinking about the CORD - UWEC game as somewhat of a bellwether for UST's status too.

I watched the first half of U$T at UWEC.  The BluGolds were suppose to have decent offense this year however their offensive line looked completely inept.  Kind of difficult to tell in a first game if it was because of a better d-line or lousy o-line.

Namely that they currently lack an outright starting quarterback and their play calls early in the season, for whatever reason, tend towards the conservative-to-the-point-of-anemic side.  Luckily, as we saw last year, teams do not (or at least should not) reach their peak at the second game of the season, and hopefully Mac will just settle on a starting quarterback and utilize their athletic running backs more often.

Despite returning all 11 offensive starters EC was picked to finish 7th in the eight team WIAC.  They may finish 8th.

D3football predicts them as a winless 2015 team.

My only comment about Caruso is that I'm wondering if he will keep his string of losing one more game than the previous year intact in 2015:

2014  3 loses
2013  2 loses
2012  1 loss

Good chance it will be a 4 loss 2015.

I for one, won't complain if this becomes a reality.

Is it Tommie / Johnnie week already?  ;D

I hope not.
There are some very funny posts in this thread and I'm hoping it continues for a long time.

Just an appetizer!

That would mean 4 conference losses.  As much as I wouldn't have a problem with that I don't see it happening.

1.) SJU
2.)BU
3.)CCM
4.) GAC or AUG

It could happen. All the cards would have to fall into place, but it could happen.

As a Johnnie, you already know the next best thing to a Johnnie victory is a Tommie loss!  8-)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Fasching is such a prima donna, going on television and promoting his program like some sort of hot shot. Look out everyone, it's hot shot Hollywood Gary coming through.

Absolutely hysterical, Bench! So many criticisms when shoe is on the other foot (although, I must admit I take pleasure in knowing that they care enough about what he's doing to monitor it-winner) and yet they're all over it when their own finally follows suit. Typical John smokefest!

I know we're not suppose to go political here but Bernie could win!

It's our guy Robert Zimmerman's 40th birthday today.

In honor, his namesake sings completely unintelligibly on Letterman.
