Here is the box score from the AUG vs. Wartburg game this year. This seems like a good comparison since #9 UST and #6 WART appear to me anyway as similar teams. Instead of just throwing out 8 yds per carry I like to actually know what history we have and then make a prediction. WART has a very good QB, a Powerful RB and a big O line. I don't see any numbers here that suggest a anything other than a close game. You could assume that the Auggies of old would get beat up by UST, just like last years AUG team did vs. WART, but I think this box score suggests otherwise for the 2015 version. There have been injuries since this game on both sides I assume and that may make a difference but for now I see this as a good game Saturday. I would expect the UST crowd to count this as a win but my prediction is for a close game and AUG coming out on top.
Not sure the Wartburg comparison in 2015 vs. 2014 means much.  Wartburg doesn't seem to be the same team they were last year.  Through their first four games, against the same competition, they are only winning by a little over one touchdown this year compared to winning those games by nearly four touchdowns last year.

Was pretty much going to echo that. Very good chance they run the table in the IIAC this year, but I don't think they're nearly the same squad as 2014.
This box score is the 2015 game. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer but help me out here. Why is the comparison of the 2015 #6 Wartburg squad to the 2015 #9 UST squad not  comparable?  Because they don't run up the score?

Are you implying that Wartburg grew some sort of conscience this year and decided that they were only going to beat teams by one or two scores? That's asinine. They hung 81 on Loras last year. 52 on Luther. Shut out Coe 43 to 0. I think, like most grown ups playing college football, they would rather have a comfortable lead in the 4th quarter. Bottom line, if Wartburg could've beat Auggie, Bethel, Stout or Central by 3 or 4 scores, they would have. They destroyed all four of those teams last year.

Not on the same line but one of my favourite Luke quotes: "That oughta be easy for a genuine son of a bitch."

And as long as I'm thinking of Paul Newman, I would love to put down my favourite Reggie Dunlop quote, but I cannot. Let me just say it involves his advice to the owner on getting married in order to avoid a situation for her son.

Wartburg seems to be holding in a good spot without running up the score, at least they are in a higher spot than UST at this point. I am certain that UST will try to hang a lot of points on AUG Saturday. In GC's mind the voters can compare the UST/AUG score vs the WART/AUG score. I am guessing you have not seen AUG play Bench. Scott has a chance to score literally anytime he has the ball in his hands.

Obviously there is a lot on the line for UST Saturday (conference standing, rankings, post-season seeding, etc.), but it means as much to Auggies trying to move into the upper tier of the MIAC as things won't get any easier for them next year after Scott and Sonnenfeld graduate.

well if it was legal, they'd have publicized it?  It only fits the conspiracy if there is no evidence.
