Gilliland should provide another option for Dakota Tracy on the outside. Nick Waldvogel also appears to be settling in at WR. Tracy has been looking his way a lot more these past few games.

Ummm, Dakota Tracy?!? I think you need to turn in your UST fan credentials  ;)

He's clearly from the past...arrived appropriately during BTTF week.

Wow! What a brain fart. Epic fail.

If UST can stop Phil Porta this week they should be in good shape.  :)

Guys, Gould is 5'9", wears number 17, and a Waldvogel is his primary target. I'll allow it.

Bench, was the Suicide Hotline working overtime in Fargo this past week?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Kirchoff is gonna be throwing dimes to Hallstrom, that's why Bethel wins on Saturday. Sam Lacey and Jon Foss combine for a key sack on 3rd down to seal the win.

Bison fans are legitimately talking about Carson Wentz getting back in time for the National Championship in Frisco. Like, not going to Frisco has never even crossed their minds. They lost at home to a terrible 3-3 USD team who has been blown out by Youngstown St. and Western Illinois already this year. NDSU also lost to Montana this year, and Montana has some bad losses as well. And both of those games they had Wentz. Now he's out for 8 weeks. I knew there would be some regression after Bohl split for Wyoming, but it has happened faster than I thought.

Talk about being delusional and taking that team for granted though. Making National Championship plans when the playoffs are a long shot at this point. SMH

D3 Football angle: Chris Kleimann's previous HC experience happened at Loras before he got the DB and DC job at UNI. He went 3-7

bennie - being on the west coast, I hope you caught the Caps/Flames last night. It was a clinic. If my Caps play like that every night, they will go 81 - 1.

I have not been a very good hockey fan lately! :-[ Both of my main teams are sucking hard right now (Columbus and Anaheim). I am use to that with the Jackets, but I expect more from my Ducks! On a side note, I was chatting with this guy and he said that he didn't watch many different sports, but he was a hockey fan! Unfortunately for him, he was talking to me. I started complaining about the Jackets hiring Torts (I hate him) and got a blank look. Mentioned the Ducks and Sharks since the guy is from California... blank look. So I asked him who is his team. He told me he was a life long Red Wing fan, "since birth".  I asked him if Yzerman was still with Tampa and he didn't know who I was talking about!! I told him that part of the reason I started watching Columbus was because of Sergei Fedorov. He never heard of him. I mentioned the epic games between the Wings and the Avs, goalie fights and all. He was unfamiliar! You sir are not a Red Wing fan!!! Sometimes I feel like a poser because I have not been following the game as closely as I once did. Now feel better about myself! 8-)

Carelton week, let's go Johnnies!!  ::)

I'll be tuning in via the webcast.  It's my favorite wife's birthday tomorrow, and I'm heading to Orlando on Sunday and leaving her as a single mom for the week, so I guess I won't drag her to Northfield.

I think we're going to check out the new Omni Brewing Taproom in Maple Grove.  Review to follow.

Favorite Wife? As opposed to your second favorite? Hmm...that might make you her third favorite husband! ;) ;D

bennie- you've been away too long, you are forgetting the very dry humor the Scandihoovians & German heritages of the Central Minnesooota have.
A former boss of mine, Norwegian heritage, used to say the secret to retiring at 55 is same wife, same house. Meaning, marry the right person, don't get divorced, (expensive) and don't keep buying bigger houses (expensive) just because you can afford the payment. Dry humor, but sage advise.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Would referring to her as my "first wife" be preferable?  It's technically true!  ;D

If he didn't know Yzerman, Federov, or the bad blood between the Wings and Avs, he was not only not a Wings fan, he was not a hockey fan. ::)  Clearly a poseur trying to pick you up, or else just an asshole! ;D

North did take it to BBE last night.

As expected.  BBE is not a traditional football power.  Basketball, yes, but not football.
Coincidentally, North is playing at Clemens Saturday at 5 for the section title.

Pretty soon the section tournament will be called the state tournament,
This is already the case with the 6A tournament.  All 32 teams in the top class can put up state participation banners every year.
Actually, the first two rounds of the 6A tournament are considered the "section" games and only when they get to the quarterfinal games are they considered in the "State tournament".

And would you believe they gave out section championship and runner up trophies and medals tonight in class 6A?  Yes Hopkins finished 3-7 on the season but was awarded a team trophy and individual medals tonight because they won one playoff game last week but lost tonight.  Meaning in the big school class which is made up of 32 teams half of teams will get trophy.  Is that totally texas or what???  (http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-34622478)
I guess former Stillwater coach George Thole was right when he said they should just give everybody a trophy.

I just watched Jurassic Park for the millionth time. It still makes me smile when Jeff Goldblum's character says he is always on the lookout for his future ex-wife.

He's got a lot of bucks. It would be a heck of a payout. I see why that could make someone smile... ;)
