My favourite 'Minnesota' characters are the Kirsten Dunst / Jesse Plemons couple.  Her in particular. It's like I'm watching my grandma's mannerisms (if not the selfish instincts).

Kirsten Dunst is lovably hateable.  Great acting.

On the other end of the spectrum is Brewster/Kiffin, all flash, no substance, glad handing alums and selling hope, screwing over recruits and other coaches and his own Athletic Department to take more prestigious jobs, failing upwards, just the worst, but not ALL that different than Kill.
