That Wabash running back trucked some Tommie defenders on more than one occasion today.  Those were the biggest hits of the game.

Unfortunate for the MIAC to have the rematch last week. St. John's probably could have hung with any of the teams playing today - some sloppy football in Oshkosh and Linfield.

That's how the cards were dealt.  Gotta beat the best to be the best.  Oshkosh got a tough draw as well.

Will be interested in where we land in the eyes of the voters in two weeks.

ROR, agreed.

Very impressed by how hard the Wabash back ran.  That said, the WC air game was rough and lucky not to have a few more picks.

Interesting to see Gould sit in the third-- even thought it was 38-0 and WEC hadn't shown much on offense -- since he played the whole game vs. SJU. Good to get Fenske some work though.

Monkey Stomp achieved.

As expected in fact, I think all 4 games went as expected.

St. Thomas and mount win blow outs, while linfield and UWW win close ones.

Very much looking forward to the next two simfinals...should be two great games.

I know one thing is certain, the team hoisting the Walnut & Bronze this year will be wearing purple. ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Yeah, there is some sort of hanky-panky going on - maybe gremlins.  If D3 is ever to have a semblance of parity, it may be necessary for the NCAA to ban the color purple! ;D

Maybe the rest of y'all just need to get some purple so you'll have a chance.

The fact that both teams have been purple in the Stagg Bowl since 2004 has got to be some sort of mind boggling record.
Belongs in the Guinness book of records.

QuoteNot sure we can make these statements until the season has played out. Sure, right now Cortland might be the best they've seen. But will that hold true after today, or should they win, one or two weeks from now?

No question. The Linfield fans clearly meant Cortland was the best team they had seen to that point. I'm sure they'd slot Mary Hardin-Baylor in front of the Red Dragons. And they'll be able to add one or two teams before the season is done.

I agree, watched as much of the 4 games as I could. UST and MUC look to be the class of the field. Maybe that is a reflection of their opponents? Not sure but we will find out. I was a little underwhelmed by UWW (and UWO), which is probably a mistake given their pedigree.

Underwhelmed by UWW/UWO?!?

What game were you watching? I watched the entire second half. The level of physicality on display was ridiculous. If I was a Tommie fan, UWW would be the last team I wanted to face this year.

They might be the last team they face.  Maybe you are a fortune teller ::)

So when and where do we go to find out officially where next week's game is going to be?  Is the consensus really that Linfield will come to St Paul?
