FWIW, we finished Making a Murderer and it seemed to both of us that there were a lot of unasked questions that the videographers left out, intentionally or not.

There's snakes in the woodpile, that's for sure. Or using another metaphor, can anyone say rail roaded?

From what was presented, I am definitely uncertain as to whether either of the defendants were guilty beyond a reasonable doubt - because I have lots of reasonable doubts. But hindsight is almost always 20/20. The flip side is, because the officers involved (at least from what was presented) didn't seem to follow up on other leads, who else could have done it? Not enough information.

And thanx to the many that mentioned this series in the past couple of weeks - I know it must seem to some of you that I live in a cave and don't get out much, but I never would have looked into it without the prodding from you all.

Believe what you want, but know that Occam's Razor is a good guide.

Greetings from Peru. I just returned back to my hotel from Machu Picchu. It was amazing. In any event, I did some digging and found a few kids who will be playing the in MIAC next season.

Today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel had a list of Milwaukee-area DI and II commits and DIII "signings" (that's not what they called it).  Only MIAC I saw were:

SJU - Chris Malicky, 6'2 280 OL from Homestead HS in Mequon, Wi.  Homestead was Div. 2 (second largest) state champs.  Malicky was Journal-Sentinel all area first team.  "Glue of a unit that showed great progress over the season . . . a tough physical kid . . . you could tell he was leading them."

UST - Joey Koppelman, 6'4 260 OL from Brookfield Central.  Second team all area.

D1 and D2 signing and D3 "non-signing" info from Frank R:

http://www.sctimes.com/story/sports/high-school/2016/02/02/becker-players-headline-area-recruits/79676870/

Looks like a lot of guys going to play at NAIA schools in ND. Really wish Mayville St., Jamestown, Valley City St., Dickinson St., Waldorf, Presentation, Dakota St., considered DIII. Jamestown and Presentation probably fit the academic profile a little more closely and wouldn't be a bad fit for the UMAC. Just weird that Mayville, DSU and VCSU are all battling budget issues and continue to play in the vast NAIA with their scholarship headaches.

I don't want those schools. From a competitive standpoint, I don't want the dregs of NAIA. More teams means less playoff access for everyone and I especially don't want more mediocre and bad teams pushing good teams out. This is all off the assumption they'd be thrown into the Pool B mix. But isn't there also a moratorium on teams moving into D3? I know Nebraska-Wesleyan is joining the IIAC from the GPAC, but they already had dual affiliation.

Check out Peaky Blinders on Netflix....Outstanding!!!
Hint...you might want to watch it with subtitles.

I'll second that recommendation. Great show, great acting, great historical drama.

Homestead is one of the best D2 programs in Wisconsin.

With Kole Heckendorf on the recruiting trail,SJU is slowly getting some Wisconsin kids into the mix. I'm more impressed every year with the recruits that Gary & his staff are bringing to Collegeville.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I am sitting at my desk with a level 4.  Stupid, stupid, stupid.

It's just turned 9am and I already feel like I've been sitting here for 12 hours.

Context please - what in the world is a level 4?

Hangover levels.  From 1 to 5.

At one point a guide was published on here that defined each level (maybe duffman put it together?).  I can't remember the details but the clicking of the keyboard as I type this is causing an eye watering pain in my brain.  That feels about level 4.

EDIT:  It wasn't here but over in the East where they are also very clever.  I've a Level 4, but I've pulled myself to work so maybe a 3.5.

Level of Hangovers are defined as:

Level 1
You're fine, you wake up with the usual symptoms of dry mouth and stank breath, but all and all you can function normally during the day.

Level 2
Did I really drink that much last night? Slight headache. Takes you longer to get out of bed. Nothing a ham and cheese omelet can't fix.

Level 3
I feel like crap, this is where you start sleeping through alarms, you're late for class/work. You're able to move throughout the day but everything is in slow motion.

Level 4
Surprise! Level 4 actually starts off like level 2, you wake up, feel decent, eat something, then BAM it hits and you take your breakfast for a swim in the toilet. You're calling in sick today (or its a weekend) and you spend the day on the couch watching maury povich and drinking water. Level 4's are beatable, which means you can still muster up the strength to go out again that night.

Level 5
You wake up, look at the clock, it's 3pm. You're probably not wearing clothes and there's a good chance you have a penis drawn on you somewhere. There's a half drank bottle of beer on your nightstand, and the smell immediately throws your digestive system into 'R'. You want to eat but nothing stays down. The room slowly spins on multiple axis. You tell yourself you'll never drink again.

Level 6
Total blackout from last night. Everything hurts. You can't stand, you can't go back to sleep, and you sure as hell can't eat anything. You don't even want to eat because opening your mouth makes you want to puke. TV makes your eyes burn, the radio sounds like there's a midget on a pogo stick in your brain. You are useless. You are in a virtual coma. Don't be surprised if you throw up 4-5 times today. The chances of your rallying from a 6 are slim.

Suggested amendment of the LoH Constitution:
Level 7

The old, I SHOULD be hungover, hangover (also known as the LewDogg amendment)

You drink 'rediculas' amounts, wake up in a bush somewhere with hot sauce glued to your chin.  Stumble into bed at 4am, sleep until noon.  Wake up fearing the worst, when you realize, there is no hangover!  It's as if your one good deed of the day plunged the poisonous spirits from your very soul.  You could quite possibly still be a little drunk, and you might, just might toss back a batch of Biscuits and Gravy followed by a box of twisted tea, and onto a Corona, followed by shots of Sambuca, before 4pm.

(This hangover level has often been seen during bachelor parties, Cancun Spring Break trips, and 36 hour gambling binges...as if the body is properly prepared for the alcohol intake)

Level 8

Basically a Level 6 that weakens in to a level 3 the next day. Also known as the weekend killer.

Ooo - sorry for asking and making you type - maybe a tablet with a touch screen would help?  ::)

I have fond memories of the interactions between the LL and MIAC on here, originally really kicked off by the RPI-St John's semifinal. The chatter for years after was amazing.
