Considering 15 games at 60 minutes each, I'd say I am a little surprised that they didn't release a 900-minute highlight film.  ::)

A tradition unrivaled...

Longer still, if they would have included the Italy trip and the other trip that nobody knows about.

Meh, 15 minutes after 15 games, that doesn't seem crazy long to me. It's long, but getting one minute of highlights out of 14 wins and a Stagg Bowl appearance, doesn't seem excessive to me. Granted, no one outside of UST actually enjoys watching those 15 minutes  ;) 8-)

For better or worse, I am with Hazzben on this - it's such a focused reel, only D3 folks will take the time to see it through.

This will fit in perfectly on the big screen during halftime of the Johnnie game this year, maybe extended slightly to present Coach Caruso with the West Region Coach-of-the-Year Award.

Some great Bud Grant anecdotes at MMQB.

Love how he couldn't care less about saying the polite comment. Just a straight shooter, gotta like that. Also, I love the idea about eliminating the fair catch, along with a 5 yd cushion for the return man. That would eliminate the high speed collisions, eliminate the boring fair catch and provide some great drama.

Along with the fair catch, another thing that I would like to see would be not letting the punt go out of bounds, similar to a kickoff. If a kickoff can't go out of bounds, why should a punt? If the punt goes out of bounds, it another 'no play' like a fair catch.

Maybe I've misunderstood your point but the purpose of the fair catch is to protect the receiver.  His attention is focused on the ball and upward not on the eleven dudes running full speed ready to send him into another dimension when they get there.  In many cases the receiver has very little time to focus his attention on the defenders before being tackled.  It almost certainly would lead to an increase in high speed collisions and significant injuries to players.  It might be boring but I don't see how eliminating it would be a good idea.

The coffin corner punt used to be an art form in punting but now it's just a lost art. I'd rather it go the other way than having punts out of bounds illegal.

Yeah, I think I misunderstood this as well.

There was also mention of a 5 yd. cushion.  I suspect this was intended to prevent the immediate collisions.

Confirming the behind the back pass against the Knights made it. Can anyone confirm if the other fun plays in that game made it? I don't have the patience to watch.

St. Thomas released their 2015 Highlight Tape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFClVZNhCcA&sns=tw

There was less gameplay in the SuperBowl than in that Tommie highlight video.

There were just 12:06 minutes of actual gameplay during the Super Bowl
And at the end of the video, Glenn announces that he is going to have some Papa John's and drink a bunch of Budweiser!! 8-)

Tommie Media did a nice article on Charlie Dowdle in the Tropic Bowl. Looks like Dowdle had a good game with 3 catches for 54 yards.  Good stuff. Dowdle was one of only two D3 players that participated in the game. More than 50 NFL scouts were on hand for the game. I wish the kid well.

If the NFL wants more 'action' in the game and eliminate 'no play' type plays (like the fair catch), then they should make a punt out of bounds illegal IMO. Like I said, a kickoff out of bounds is illegal, so why should a punt out of bounds be legal? Punting the ball out of bounds gives the receiving team no chance of returning the ball. Coffin corner kickoffs could also be considered an art form, but they don't allow that.
