Dang. A great game. Apparently it was the third longest in ncaa history.

Interesting article ranking all FBS head coaches based on their college careers. Lots of D3 and small college programs made the list. Fun read.

My Kafka books arrived yesterday.  I'm starting the Trial in about five minutes and I can't wait. The first sentence is a doozy.

"Someone must have been telling lies about Josef K., he knew he had done nothing wrong but, one morning, he was arrested."

I know the term kafkaesqe. I should have put two and two together.

57, I read through the arrest and now he's on his way to work at the bank.  I wish I lived a ways from downtown because I need more than a 20 minute train ride to whet my whistle on this one.  If this book finishes without revealing what he was arrested for then I think this may be the most satisfying unsatisfying story I have read (if you get my drift). Even better than 1984 which at least revealed a motive for the terror.

No comment from me until you finish!

No, I've stayed away from Google. I'm just guessing. It would be an interesting and frustrating ending at the same time. Anyway, I'm off of here for the weekend so I can finish it without anyone worrying that they'll spoil it.

Just caught wind of an SJU coach calling a south metro high school AD and chewing him out for "disrespecting" the D3 athletes because they were not included in the "signing day" ceremonies....

The butt hurt coach is not a football coach.

You are joking right?  If not was it EP?

The Augsburg wrestling team has three of its wrestlers in national championship contention, after the opening session of the NCAA Division III National Championships on Friday morning at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids Iowa.

TOP 10 TEAM SCORES: 1. Wartburg (Iowa) 17.5; 2. Messiah (Pa.) 12.5; 3. Luther (Iowa) 11.0; 4. Wabash (Ind.) 9.5; 5. Augsburg (Minn.) 9.0; 6t. Coe (Iowa) 6.0; 6t. Elmhurst (Ill.) 6.0; 6t. Stevens Tech (N.J.) 6.0; 9t. Alma (Mich.) 5.5; 9t. York (Pa.) 5.5. Other Minnesota colleges: 21. Concordia-Moorhead 3.0; 35t. Saint John's 1.0; 49t. St. Olaf 0.0.

This is not over, tomorrow is a new day. Last year at this time Augsburg was in second place behind Wartburg and went on to win the National Championship with an 11 point margin. Wartburg has been on a mission this year so we will see how it goes in the second session.

FRIDAY'S RESULTS
TOP 10 TEAM SCORES: 1. Wartburg (Iowa) 78.0; 2. Messiah (Pa.) 48.0; 3. Luther (Iowa) 35.5; 4. Augsburg (Minn.) 34.5; 5. Wabash (Ind.) 31.5; 6. Stevens Tech (N.J.); 7. Wisconsin-La Crosse 23.5; 8t. Alma (Mich.) 22.0; 8t. Coe (Iowa) 22.0; 10. SUNY-Cortland (N.Y.) 20.0. Other Minnesota colleges: 24. Concordia-Moorhead 10.0; 36. St. Olaf 6.0; 48t. Saint John's 1.0

That single St. Olaf wrestler is a stud, I watched him online vs the Auggies this year. Today is the day of course and we need some things to go our way to make this interesting.

The 184lbs kid from Wabash was pretty crazy too. He took out W&L's first National Tournament participant in a decade in like 4 minutes making it look easy. Very impressive.
