OF COURSE, the male athlete of the year is a cheesehead.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Hello MIAC

Closed Circuit to all Cobber Faithful:

Hated rivals, MSUM Dragons, are once again without a Head Coach. After only 1 year, a 1-9 season and a suprising loss by the varsity in the annual varsity vs alumni game, Chad Eisele has moved on to take the AD job at his alma mater Knox College in Illinois (same conference as Lake Forest and Monmouth)

MSUM AD claims that he will name an interim coach for the upcoming year and that his first choice is JOHN MACKOVIC, former Texas, Arizona, and the Kansas City Chiefs head coach.... sounds like a mess

As a grad of MSUM (note is said grad not fan) When the president of the School know befroe the AD that hte Head FB coach is resigning something is wrong. Mike McFeeley of the Forum has a great story on the ineptitude at the head of MSUM.

I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Yes, but a cheesehead smart enough to decide to go to SJU.  :)

This should put a proud smile on the faces of all SJU posters:

On the male side, I don't think the Selection Committee could have gone wrong with any of the three finalists, but Matt was clearly the best candidate. Ditto for Vig on the Female side.

Great action photo of Matt Hawn.   ;)  Who was the talented photographer that provided the shot?   ;D

I have missed you guys. And apparently, someone has been missing me...I have picked up negative karma and I haven't even posted in over a month and a half! I am feeling the love! ;) Anyway, I came across this today. It is the results from the study regarding D3 athletes and financial aid. Unfortunately, they don't name any of the schools, so the report isn't very juicy. Hopefully this hasn't already been posted...

I addressed this in a blog posting on Daily Dose, but that is the specifics of the situation, yes. :)

Just a quick post before heading back to my demanding job of promoting beer...Hamm's 24 packs $7.95 at Westside this week.

By promoting a sale on Post Patterns, aren't you really doing your job?

As much as it pains me to buy anything less than 30 Hamm's at a time, that is quite a deal on a cost-per-can basis. I'm on my way to Westside tonight.
Frank - you going to the Rickolympics tonight?

Last post made me smile thinking of Fins IV's comment to me in the gee-rodge last weekend as I crushed my last empty 30 pack carton. "That's your last one Dad, don't you think it'll be a collecters item some day?"

Kid has potential.

One more thing Frank...
I was just making my daily karma rounds, and had to look at that oh-so-gay avatar you have. I must tell you that I can no longer karmalize you until that changes.
In fact, it almost deserves a smite. But I'm a lover not a smiter.

It seems SJU has a non-discrimination policy (they do take Californians after all), though I suspect taking cheeseheads pushes the policy to its limits.
