FWIW - I received my annual letter from Bethel with my season tickets in it and the two pages of information about the incoming freshman/recruits as well as the returning players.

Wow, SJU likes to wait till last minute to send our tix out.

A tradition unrivaled...

Bridge Tussler was mentioned as a returner at running back, so that answers an inquiry asked here earlier this spring. Just passing the info along.

It will be interesting to see how BU comes out this season after a so-so 5 and 5 season last year. At least for BU, the schedule has been tossed around and instead of playing Augsburg at the end of the season like they have for awhile now, they get them in week 9. BU's bye week is October 22nd, the week before St. Thomas at Royal Stadium.

The June podcast is out, and Pat and Keith continue to bring us stories we don't hear anywhere else.

Word is rehab is going really well for Anderson as well. He didn't tear his meniscus, so that really helps with the recovery. He's supposedly packed on 15 lbs of muscle in the offseason program. Which, given his running ability, will be a big help.

Bloom should be poised for a breakout year as well, IMO. Historically, an average season for Coach J gets followed up with a really stellar year. Here's to hoping that trend continues!

MIAC is gonna be a fun one this year. The depth at the top is just ridiculous right now.

Looks like Coach Joe Lepsche is leaving UST to take over as Head Coach for St. Francis HS in Wheaton, IL (https://twitter.com/CoachLepsche).

Lepsche did a fantastic job as the OL coach and recruiting coordinator.  I wish him the best of luck.

Hmmm...  Intrigue. All that recruiting in the Illinois area seems to have landed him a... HS job?

There is only one baseless conclusion that can be supported by yet more baseless speculation: as recruiting coordinator and OL coach he was dead set centre of UST's success these last few years and St Glenn was unwilling to give him his due, instead claiming all glory as the recruiting and strategy master. So leaving to HS was preferable to staying put.

Apparently, Caruso spells F.A.M.I.L.Y. like f.a.M.E.l.y.  There can be no other conclusion.

It's almost like you have an office in The Anderson Center Oz, that is very insightful. +K
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Thanks, 105.  I've got sources. ;)

Also, the Bulldogs have delivered some great-to-watch games this year and this one at Port Adelaide is another.  Fast, hotly contested and in doubt as to the result from the opening siren until the close.

We're getting closer and things are starting to happen.

State All-Stars Begin Week-Long Training Camp June 19 at SJU

Plus the article has a paragraph on each of the J's six incoming all stars.

As we approach the season opener, the big question is whether SJU will place second, third, or far lower in the MIAC this year. I'll err on the side of optimism and project a second or third place finish...

Boy, did I appreciate VOJ last night while watching the Hawks play North MElbourne. It's so nice to listen to the Johnnies and have someone who loves the team calling the game.  The media cheerleading for anyone that plays against Hawthorn is becoming unbearable as the Hawks steadily head for their fourth consecutive premiership.

Go VOJ!

Be so as it may, at least they are quilled by the Good Brothers and such takes not only skill, but time.

QuoteSt. John's led Division III in football attendance for the 14th time in 15 seasons.

Begun by  a 2003 squeaker while sneaking #2 at running back. Alas, been ditching any chance at rematch for 10 of the last 13 years.  ;D

Here's some bad news for Johnnie fans and other MIAC schools, but feel obligated to post it for information sakes:

One person's bad news is another Johnnie's opportunity.  How heartached will he be when he realises that red is where it's at?
