Buckman

I saw Onterrio Smith AKA Mr Whizzinator or SOD (Stupid Ol' Dumbass) was released by the Vikings.

Frank's latest piece on the J's:

http://www.sctimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060427/SPORTS/104270022/1002

The Pride of Healy High looked very good last year when he touched the ball. Assuming the O-line fills in, SJU should have a nice balanced offensive game this fall.

Wow!! Good thing I re-read that and caught the "buoys" and not "boys" :o

+k for that Ritzy!
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Forgive me if this question has been answered earlier and I missed it. How do the J's end up going back to CORD and UST again this year. Is there some sort of quirky rotation in the MIAC.

Thanks.
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

100th post prayer

THE BEER PRAYER

Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink,
Thy will be drunk,
(I will be drunk),
At home as I am in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us,
and lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers,
For thine is the beer,
The bitter and the lager,
Forever and ever,
Barmen.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

fins-  Will you be attending the Tasting Extravaganza at Westside Liquor in Waite Park tonight?
Heaven isn't too far away,
Closer to it every day

Willy Wonka

Duffy - And that's exactly why we are fighting at the first Stiffyfest this fall.

Mongo - You keep bringing up my "Dance isn't a sport" article. Your tone makes me think you disagree with the premise. Have those strippers out there convinced you otherwise?

Frank, fins, etc - You boys need to pick up your tix soon. I can't believe I've willingly subjected myself to at least 12 hours with TDT...
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Thanks.

Things got very messed up when MAC left us.  Things generally go on a two year rotation, though.  For an example of other quirkieness:

1999 SJU at Bethel
2000 SJU at Bethel
2001 Bethel at SJU
2002 SJU vs Bethel at the Metrodome (this was a "home" game for Bethel)
2003 Bethel at SJU
2004 SJU at Bethel

Seems like they should just alternate years, but that's not how it's worked out recently.

A tradition unrivaled...
MIAC Champions: '32, '35, '36, '38, '53, '62, '63, '65, '71, '74, '75, '76, '77, '79, '82, '85, '89, '91, '93, '94, '95, '96, '98, '99, '01, '02, '03, '05, '06, '08, '09, '14, '18, '19, '21, '22, '24
National Champions: '63, '65, '76, '03

What would we be tasting and at what time?

Some alien broke into my office and took a paper crap all over my desk, so I'm trying to clean up the mess.

Well, I can't get myself to justify paying even $50 to watch the Vikes, when I can watch the best team in the midwest on Saturdays for free. Would love to see Lambeau sometime, but you'd think someone in the sports world, writer perhaps, would have a better connection for a bunch of reasonably priced tickets.

It's just that I'm torn--on the one hand, dance obviously isnt a sport.  On the other, if you write about it, you're making a lot of hot girls upset with you.  But it is sweet that you wrote about it, and I assume you're still getting death threats.   BTW, they're not called 'strippers'--they're called Professional Fun Dancers in my book.

Oh, and two words for you concerning fantasy baseball: Bronson Arroyo.
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

You've been working this month!  Hope you're still brewing EA (vice IPA) in your spare time.  We'll be looking for some when we bring #2 for the start of summer practice on 8/12.

fins-  It starts at 5pm and it is free beer, free booze and free wine.  Mongo can attest to its awesomeness.

Well I see 3 good reasons to go.
May just have to darken their door and say hi to Bob, Linda and Marky Markdown. Can we stay 'til closing? Is there Hamm's?
