Yeah...

So Bus Driver just called me to see if he could substitute a 30 pack of Blatz for the 30 pack of Hamm's that he owes.  I told him no deal.

Can some Ole explain this to me.

The roster has Pat Botini listed as a junior.  Yet, his birthday makes him 1 month younger than I(I graduated from college in '03).  I know he didn't take time off before college, as we went to the same high school.  And I know that he has been playing the past couple of years as well.  Was he just an old man in high school or what?

Also, he is listed as his high school's team MVP...no way.

That's like asking if he could substitute a kick in the balls for ten dollars that he owes you.

Who was the poster who has the Air Force picture for awhile? Mighty Royal was it? What do you make of his comments?

*Apologizes if this was discussed before - I skipped 2 pages of reading today because I ACTUALLY had to work. My job/life sucks right now, if you couldn't tell.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

ROR-I may have been quoted, but I can't remember which paper and they didn't get the exact quote, but that is newspaper people for you.

Come on Willy, you know you give up your life when you agree to work at small dailies. And Fall's easy compared to the end of winter season, with boys and girls basketball, wrestling, swimming, hockey and even dance line (yes, I covered dance line). But at least you're getting rich.

Re: PBot

I graduated from College in '04 and Pat Botini was either a freshman or a sophmore then. You sure you are talking about the same Pat Botini?

Yup.  I graduated HS in 99 and his older bro was a year behind me.  Big family, and they all had bright-red hair.  I'm guessing his b-day is wrong.

Apparently, you deleted your post now.

Duffman, I know you are a Simpson's fan, a religous man as an SJU grad and a fisherman.  I think this is targeted at you.

Duff -

Yeah his bday must be wrong, although I can't see Luddy making that kind of mistake, thats why when I saw his bday on the website I took my post off.

Any guess on what type of crowd we can expect on Saturday?
I want to know how early I need to get there to get good seats.

I'd assume a big crowd, especially if the weather is nice.  Don't know how fast visitor side fills up.  It depends on how many fans Olaf brings.  Parking isn't a problem (unless you want a close spot) and they never sell it out, so you should be fine.

Had a chance to hang with the Bus Driver tonight.  I took a pic of him before I left...

sfury - If you think I am getting rich working here, you got another thing coming, assuming you are in the same line of work. And dance line was SO my last job, though they were the state champs. Thankfully, Red Wing is too good for a dance team (calling them a "dance line" earned a tongue lashing from a coach in western MN - I mean, they do jazz funk AND high kicks :) )

I am complaining because I could have four free days each of the next two weeks, sports-wise, but my team had to pull an upset to keep me busy the one day I want off. One game goes different and I am saluting the flag with Hacksaw/Frank on Saturday in Collegeville.

Can't a guy complain in peace on these boards anymore? Sheesh...

Yep just got home from a big executive board meeting with OAS in St. Paul.  The Bus received a shirt for his work this evening.  He will share the story at the tailgate party on Saturday morning.

Duffman you know the Bus will take care of you this weekend.  Just real unfortunate that in the city where Hamm's was born and raised and grew to great popularity in Central Minnesota that the Bus Driver can't get a 30 pk of Hamms at the local liquor store.  Would Duffman be okay with a keg of Hamms instead of a 30 pk?  I think it would be easily hidden next to the kool-aid in finsleft's RV.  They had the Hamms brew on tap at the executive board meeting, but not at the liquor store a mere 35 feet from the meeting...
