Yep. What the hell's the deal, doing a promotion and handing out size small t-shirts? You should know that is only acceptable if women and water are involved.
I heard C & L is hiring.

OUCH! I've been hit again. Duff's out of bullets until tomorrow so it looks like a Piper, Royal or Tommy ('s suck) must've hit me.

Or....Frank?

I think the real reason this UWW "student" wants 1 more year is he wants to still be a student when he sees his team lose to SJU in the playoffs.

Bob Wicker's latest SJU Underground contains the following, from today's St. Paul paper...
What follows is the Pioneer Press' Bob Sansevere interview with John about his selection that appeared today (Thursday):

St. John's legend John Gagliardi, who has the most victories by a college football coach, is among seven new members of the College Football Hall of Fame. He will be enshrined in August as part of the divisional class, which honors players and coaches who don't compete at the NCAA Division I-A level. Gagliardi, 79, has a 432-118-11 record in 57 seasons as a college coach.

BS When you heard you were chosen for the Hall of Fame, were you surprised, or did you think it was about time?
JG I didn't know they changed the rules. They had the rule before that you had to be retired. They changed the rule so that if you're over 75 and over a certain winning percentage and coaching 10 years, you can go in. When they told me they changed the rules and I was going to be the first active guy, that was nice.

BS Do you think they changed the rule just for you?
JG I don't have a clue. I don't think they'd make an exception for me. I was surprised Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden didn't go in. I was hoping to be on the same dais with them. I've never met either one.

BS You've never met Paterno or Bowden?
JG I don't travel in those circles. I haven't met Bill Gates, either.

BS You've won more games than any college football coach in history. You've won four national championships. Now you're in the Hall of Fame. What's left for you to accomplish?
JG If I can get through the day, that'd be nice, too.

BS Ever wish you had coached at a higher level just to see how you'd do?
JG I'm happy here. I found this little spot. I'd probably be out of coaching by now if I went to another level.

BS You're going to be 80 on Nov. 1. I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I'll ask, anyway: Are you contemplating retirement?
JG Not unless my health deteriorates fast. I plan to coach as long as I can. Amos Alonzo Stagg coached 57 years. We're tied for most years coaching. The first minute we play our first game, I will have broken that record. I think he coached until he was 90. So, if I can get that one, that'd be something. Then I'll have it all.

BS Does that mean you'll retire once you reach 90?
JG I didn't say that. I'll set a new record. You know, every time my name is mentioned in the newspaper now it's "John Gagliardi, 79." My name is not "John Gagliardi, 79." Last year it was "John Gagliardi, 78." It never was "John Gagliardi, 35," or "John Gagliardi, 52." People ask me what changes. What changes every year is my name. Next year, I'll be "John Gagliardi, 80."

BS Where does going into the Hall of Fame rank on your list of accomplishments?
JG It's nice. A lot of great things have happened to me. More than I deserve. I've had a lot of blessings. I've met the president twice. I've won national championships and broke the record. But the thing I'm happiest about is having a great family, great children and grandchildren, a great wife. That's a real blessing.

Yes, that's sooooo much better! And, yes, you get karma. Even though the Jean Claude avatar was gawdawful, I never smited you for it. I'm a lover, not a smiter so Lindsay L will be rewarded appropriately.
