AO- any speculation if your cousin would have an opportunity with Craig Bohl's staff if the Gophers would be able to land Bohl after firing Clayes? Of course this is all hypothetical  ;)
I guess if we're going to take Shooters word on tickets sold for Tommie/Johnnie we should believe his coaching search speculation, but I think Craig is pretty happy in Laramie.

So I may have missed this, but 15,000 tickets were already sold for the Tommie/Johnnie game?? ???

That boggles my mind a bit.  15,000 tickets sold 9 months before the game???

All the suites and party areas too! That is crazy. I definitely underestimated the casual and corporate crowd turnout. I think people are treating this as a big reunion of sorts. I suspect there will be a lot of fans there only passively interested in the action on the field.

Man, it's really going to feel like a true Tommie-Johnnie game in that case.

I've been challenged by PC.  I'm thinking about it. Heck, it's not even a semi-final either.

I agree this is being treated as a reunion as well.  You only need to take a small percentage of the graduates from these two schools to get a decent size number.  Based on recent history the number attending this game would be in the 15k-17k range.  Anything beyond that is because of the marketing/venue.  This is a step beyond a football game, it's now an event to be at.  An interesting measurement on that day would be how many are actually watching the game vs. how many are in the concourses catching up with old classmates.

Full disclosure, I have not listened to this yet! One of the podcasts I listen to had an ad for a different podcast called In The Dark. It is suppose to be like Serial. The topic...the Jacob Wetterling abduction. I have downloaded it and am now trying to convince myself to listen. Kind of an emotional topic.

In The Dark presented by APM Reports- it is available on Itunes

A guy at work was talking about it.  He said that it's good and makes the Stearns County Sheriffs look like a bunch of bumbling idiots.  I'm not totally sure that I want to listen to it.  The Wetterling ordeal really hit home for me.  Reading Heinrich's testimony made me physically sick.

I listened to it.  It certainly does draw into question a lot of things that they did.  Of course, hindsight is 20-20, so some of the things are made to look more bumbling in the light of the reality / truth that we now know, but there are plenty of examples where they simply didn't follow standard protocol.

Some of the mistakes played out again in the shooting of the Cold Spring officer, sadly.  One of the more jaw dropping things to me was that the Sheriff, when faced with the Stearns County Sheriff's Dept's statistics on solving crimes as compared to other counties basically just cited other departments as having better luck.  ???

Reading Heinrich's account of what happened was extremely difficult for me as well...having kids certainly makes you process this kind of stuff differently.  Pre-kids, I would have found it extremely sad and disturbing, but processing it as a parent just rips your heart out.
