I read A Legacy Unrivaled:  The Story of John Gagliardi this weekend.  As a former player of John's, it refreshed some wonderful memories.  It's a unique view at John's philosophy.  It's a quick read, and I'd definitely recommend it to any Johnnie fans.  Heck, it'd be a good read for anyone.  For you Tommies, perhaps you can find someone to read it to you.  :P

Thanks for the recommendation. Maybe I can return the favor. I hear this one captures a more intimate side of the "magic" up in Collegeville:

I would consider it but I am too busy following Wrestling and Hockey right now to care.
Maybe next lifetime?

Ha.  That made me chuckle. Any beer?  You gots to hit the off-season trifecta.

Oz, last Saturday night I went to a St. Cloud State hockey game & they have their own version of The Hanson Brothers. One big difference, these kids are very nifty on the offensive end. The Poehling brothers from Lakeville. Jack & Nick are twins and played Juniors in Green Bay and little brother Ryan is just 17. They are all Freshmen. They could do some serious damage to the scoring records at SCSU if they all stay healthy.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I searched up a photo.  They look honest.  No foil.

Frickin' Australia. This has been on the news (with a lot of bleeps) for the last day. A huge redback spider (of the black widow family. A people killer but no one has died since the '50's when the antivenom was created) catches and kills a brown snake (second deadliest snake in the world.  Still a people killer). Deadliest animals going head to head.  This is in country Victoria, about four hours north of Melbourne.

Language warning (although I would have been dropping plenty of f-bombs myself if I had been there):

A little transcript.

First guy: There it is. A redback f'ing up a brown snake.

Second guy: Another one?

Another one?!?  How often are these guys watching this play out?  Sheesh.

Mrs Oz tells me that the same engine shop which filmed that spider/snake video two days ago found another dead brown snake under a pallet yesterday.  Get some damn barrier spray and keep the killer creepy crawlies out of the workplace, for God's sake.

For those of you who like me were hankering for the return of footy, here's the first half of the Hawks v Geelong preseason match two days ago. We're still a month away from the real games.

This game features newly minted captain Jarryd Roughead playing his first game in a year after surviving a melanoma that metasticized on his lungs and superstar free agent recruit Jaeger O'Meara.

Congrats, Rev!  Kids are a blessing.

(And you'll be repeating that to yourself at 3am in about a year's time. :). Kids are a blessing... kids are a blessing... KIDS ARE A BLESSING!!!!!)
