I think you still qualify Duff.

Thanks, BDB, but it's all relative.  I'm young to you  :o, but I'm old to those fresh college grads!

57 is reading this conversation with wry smile.
That's a rye smile :)

Third try lucky.  The Hawks are up on the Gold Coast in Queensland to take on the Suns, also winless.  So someone breaks the hoodoo here.  The Suns are the former home of Jaeger "Jaeger Bomb" O'Meara and a little acrimony is expected.

EDIT:  Well that sucked. Utterly dominated. Going to be a loooooong season.

My son played in a tennis invitational tourney this weekend and one of the teams was Lakeville South. When he matched up with them his opponent was......#7 from the Minnesota State High School All Hockey Hair Team. Ha!

Turns out the kid is a really good tennis player too.

The kid should dye his hair green for the tennis season.  He would look like this guy:

I think '57 can tell us about this game....

First-ever Tommie-Johnnie game. 1901. Johnnies, naturally, prevail 16-6. Here's the game story from the long-dead St. Paul Globe.

The only spectacular play of the game was a long punt by Gleason, of St. Thomas."

The lesson, as always, even when they have a dominant punter, Tommies suck.

Not quite but I do remember 52 years later when John beat the Tommie's for the first time as Johnnie coach 14-6. The magnificent  Johnnie  D held the Toms to 81 yards rushing.
Even against a rookie coach, Tommie's suck! :)

I've been trying to find out who the culprit was too.

Any Hermantown hockey/gun questions, let me know.  I am a native and also played hockey, albeit quite a few years ago.  Y'all be nice to us, we get a lot of online abuse (some of it deserved).
