Is it considered a victory if you are still serving life in prison?

It was a short life, as he ended it early this morning

All American, NFL star, Super Bowl champion, convicted murderer, acquitted murderer, suicide...some people's lives sure do take some bizarre twists and turns.  ???

Sad but true but still prideful cartoon in the paper here today.  *sniff*

And just a coincidence that the crowd are all wearing Geelong colors, I guess.   :)

Well, they did destroy us on the weekend pretty much putting a fork in the season.  We can still make the finals but we'll be shot if we make it, having to play so hard from behind the 8-ball. This is a year of transition. Almost a third of the starters turned over. We'll see how well the playing group gels by season end and then look to next year's campaign.

It's like supporting the Vikings this year. Not even 20% of the way into the season and already talking about next year.

Ha!  I bet the original Doritos work best. People are always trying new fangled baits and lures but nothing works as well as the old-fashioned worm.

I'll put those three onto the list. We watched The Killing season one and quite liked it but got distracted by the time season two came out.  A friend recommended Turn but the wife saw uniforms and make believe so that was vetoed (I did explain she pretty much described any TV show).  I just read a synopsis of Revolution and that's one for me - the wife refuses to watch those dystopian settings.

No make believe,  no dystopia. Cop show are good, tick. Lawyers,  tick.  Crime, tick.  War, aliens, dystopia, buzzzzzz.
We went through The Killing, first season was great, until the ending, tapered off afterwards to a final maybe a year or two too late,  Longmire is a pretty good one to watch
Everyday is payday in paradise.

UST's Dougherty Family College is now taking applications. If anyone knows underserved or needy folks who might excel in a highly supportive environment, please pass this along. Oh, and it would be nice if they're outstanding athletes who might want to transfer to UST's bachelor's degree program and play football.

It's the Battle of the Birds.  Hawthorn Hawks v West Coast Eagles.

We're having our fifth try at our first win today.  Both Sydney and North Melboune are winnless as well at 0-5, having already played this weekend, we we're not the only side looking to be renamed Owen.  Owen Five if it doesn't go well at the G this afternoon.

Owen is banished!  The Hawks get up in a four quarter effort.  The season isn't over yet but the fat lady is strapping on her corset.  The boys will need to play out of their skin to keep her in the dressing room.

Yep, I'll get right on that...

Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.
