Finsleft--
Yeah, I should have made it to more games but spending the fall at my mother's bedside as she was dying of cancer seemed more important than coming to every Johnnie tailgate.
Maybe this year, I'll grow a member and show up at more.
oAs.

OaS--
Sorry about your mom. Really.
I still think your mug all over a web site devoted to the Johnnie tailgates is a bit impudent.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Fins--

My mother actually WON a battle with breast cancer for which I'm quite grateful.  I just used it to illustrate a point that you have no idea why I made it or didn't make it to a tailgate and therefore, without knowing me, have no reason to call me out.

Let's just compare quick:

Fins:
A one season all-star!

OAS:
Created the Stiftungsfestivities banner
Picked SJU in the 2003 Stagg (i got lucky)
Give Johnnies a decent amount of pub in the West Region column
Created the Stiftungsfestivities website

All this without even being an alum.

I look forward to meeting you September 2 and only hope you're more cordial in person than you come across on this board.

Retired Old Rat

Johnnie Red,

I think you may have to resurrect the Stiftunsfestivities Wrestling Extraveganza.  At least for the grudge match between OAS and Fins.

Did I hear someone say "cage match?"

:) ;) :D 8) ::) :P :-*

Actually, Fins was around before last season, he just became a valued member of Post Patterns as of 2005.

Listen up, Buckwheat.
I've been going to SJU games since I was old enough to walk and probably have gone to more games before you were born than you ever will in your life time, even if you never miss another.
So,...DON"T EVEN, Mr Wannabe!
If you want cordial, then be careful what you say. It's better for you to say nothing and be thought a fool than to write something here, and remove all doubt.
From what I've seen here, I have plenty of reasons to call you out.

P.S. I am sincerely happy that your mother is better.

Fins--

You called me out for including myself on a website entitled www.stiftungsfestivities.com for which i think I have a pretty legit affiliation.

If I had created a site entitled www.beenattendingjohnniegameslongerthanyou.com
and decided to put my mug all over it, than I'd understand your gripe!

Mr. Wannabe?  Wow, I've made it pretty clear there's nothing I wannabe more than what I am.

And I'm the Queen of England.

You're the one that tried to make a stupid comparison in your last post, you nimrod. Wow, picked SJU in '03 and gave us publicity we would've received anyway? You are true blue, man! Nice banner though. Thanks. As for the website, I think I'll still get my dose from d3football.com.

Duff- Aren't you all hoping I'm more cordial in person, or aren't we all more cordial in person?

Gotta run off to my Dale Carnegie course now. Bye.

OAS-- like what you've done to the Stiftingsfestivities site.  Good to hear about your mother.  Best wishes and warm regards to you and your family after going through that.

With the Twins tanking, the Vikings managing to blow something new this time (a stadium when the legislature hands them out to the Twins and Gophers), and the Wolves and Wild taking an early vacation to the golf course, when can we start talking MIAC football?  We need something more entertaining than a Fins/OAS cage match to cheer us up here...

Willy Wonka

How about a tagteam matchup of the Legion of Impending Johnnie Doom (OAS and WW) against the Weedwackers (TDT and fins)? Mongo informs me Vegas has installed the non-Johnnies as heavy early favorites and is on the verge of pulling said event from the board.

fins - You are ripping OAS for offering his writing services, free of charge, for the last (at least) four years as a contributor to this website? That, along with his frequent presence at Stiffyfests, hasn't earned him the right to put his ugly mug on a site he is designing? Are you for real?

Rip him all you want for being a Johnnie-hater and picking against them in every big game since 2003, but that seems a small thing to ask compared to what he's contributed. I'm just glad people haven't checked my voting record lately...I mean, the Oles almost knocked off SJU last year, right? :)

PS - My dad can beat up your dad!
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Just to lighten things up a little, how about a joke?...

Three guys - a Cobber, one-armed Scot, and Finsleft - are working together one day.  They come across a lantern and a Genie pops out of it.

"I will give each of you one wish, which is three wishes total," says the Genie.

The Cobber says, "I am a farmer, my dad was a farmer, my grandfather was a farmer, and my son will also farm.  I want the land to be forever fertile in Cobberland."  Pooooof!  With the blink of the Genie's eye, the land in the Red River Valley was forever made fertile for farming.

OaS was amazed, so he said, "I want a wall around Macalaster so that no infidels, Johnnies, Tommies, Cobbers, Royals, Carls, Auggies or Oles can come into our precious school."  Pooooof!  Again, with the blink of the Genie's eye, there was a huge wall around Macalaster.

Finsleft says, "I am very curious.  Please tell me more about this wall."  The Genie explains, "Well, it's about 10,000 feet high, 500 feet thick and completely surrounds Macalaster.  Nothing can get in or out -- it's virtually impenetrable."

Finsleft says, "Fill it with water."

OOF! Nice one Pat! Way to give me a 5 point smite! You're the only one with the power and there weren't enough users on to all give me one at once.
Guess you showed me for picking on your boy OaS.  Pretty loyal on your part after the Busdriver betrayal.
Loser!
