Fun Fact: Folks like to poke fun at Augsburg, otherwise known as Auggie Tech, but it's one of only two MIAC schools to have produced a Nobel laureate. Augsburg alumnus Peter Arge won the 2003 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Kofi Annan went to Macalester and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001.

When are you going to finally come out and say that you are TDT?
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Wow.  This had never occurred to me.  The Rev is TDT's sock puppet?  Could it be?

As far as I'm concerned nothing happened anywhere until 2008.

So my sister in law is with us at the Cretin-Dedham Hall game at U$T. She was a cheerleader at U$T in the 90's for two years and graduated from U$T. At halftime tonight she asked, "Where are the bathroom?" Are you kidding me????

Never thought I would get a -K for celebrating Augsburg's accomplishments. I guess SJU's envy knows no bounds...

A) How do you know it was a Johnnie that pinged you?

B) How do you know it was that post which encouraged the click?

C) What makes you think that envy motivated the -k?

D) How do we know your negative karma actually increased?

E) Do you live in a glass house?

E) Do you live in a glass house?

A) I don't, but based on history it's a good bet.

B) I don't, but considering that I haven't posted in a couple of days, a couple of pings within an hour of my recent post seems somewhat obvious.

C) Envy? That's all SJU has nowadays. It used to be winning. Now it's envy.

D) I'm talking about -K. Some +K might even it out in the end, not that I really care.

E) I give less -K than most people on this board. I really only give +K. I've given -K if something is truly offensive, but only in a few cases in the past five years.

All in jest, Rev.

I'm waiting for the AFL Grand Final between Adelaide and Richmond to start in a hour.  A commercial was just on that said a keg of Carlton Draught was changed every 46 seconds in Australia.  That equates to 33,958,722 gallons of Carlton Draught a year being drunk just in pubs.  Or 1.4 gallons of Carlton Draught over the bar counter for every man, woman and child in the country.  That's a lot of just one beer.

On the game, the pre-game entertainment is playing, The Killers.  The good news is that it's obvious they are not singing with autotune.  The bad news?  Same.

Is that beer good, at least?

Yeah, Carlton Draught is pretty drinkable for a mass produced pub beer.  If I'm buying a case for home then I buy others, but at the pub a Draught can be ok.  You either drink just one glass or a lot.  In the middle never sits right.

Carlton is s**t. If you want real beer, stick to those endorsed by these folks: http://www.camra.org.uk

I have no hard evidence Rev,but I don't believe the Augsburg mention was the root of the problem. Long time poster One Armed Scot, has had a long running battle with Kofi Annan, since his days as Secretary General of the UN. The negative attention Annan brought to Macalester ruined the vibe over there and OAS does not forget. The mention of Annan can trigger a rage that can only be described as Jekyll & Hyde like. OAS has been lurking on this board for the past few years and the Annan reference just may have been enough to bring him out.  ;)

Note:This post was made in jest, this is sarcasm. One Armed Scot is a great guy & he is too busy promoting tourism in the Capitol city & raising his young family to be able to spend time here. He was a hell of a one armed punter. The best I've ever seen. BTW, he really does not like Annan.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
