60 years!  That's a heck of an achievement. Congrats, 57.

(Just curious, but do you need to store your diploma in a hermetically sealed vacuum case to keep it preserved?)

I have been doing an annual fundraiser for mentally handicapped kids at Walmart for over 20 years and today was the day on the calendar. At the last minute they cancelled us saying they only allowed Boys and Girl Scouts anymore.
Guess they don't know what it is like to watch the tears roll down a little 8 year old girl's cheeks while you pin a 5th place ribbon on her.  We'll find other people who care.

To put it in perspective:
John's first year as football coach was my Freshman year.

Concordia has outrushed the rest of the MIAC against St Thomas through the first half

PurpleReign

Congratulations to the UST Tommies, another MIAC regular season championship is all but in the books.  Now the questions are: How many home games will be awarded in the playoffs?  Does the MIAC get just one or two teams in?  How many years in a row is it now, that the Jonnys will need a lift into the playoffs by the strength of the Tommies?  All are excellent excellent questions.

After the previous moronic post - some feel good news

Before Aussie Nathan Walker's skates hit the ice for his first shift, Caps already up 2-0. Late in the second period, off a faceoff, he goes to the net to set the screen, wrist shot ticks off his leg and goes in. He gets credit for his first NHL goal in his first game. All with his mom, dad, brother and fiancee in the building. Team mates were jumping. Devante Smith-Pelley, who launched the shot, immediately calls for the puck, so they can label and present to him.

Go the Aussies. I imagine that the hockey circles down here will be celebrating tonight.

My hockey playing mate just texted me:

QuoteIt was a big deal here in the hockey community. He deflected one off his hip. I coached against him in pee wee and he was very good then. Very happy for him and family.

Since Walmart is an inanimate entity, I'll assume you mean the Walton family. Since they have given multitudes of millions (maybe billions) to charities, and have featured goods at low prices, (who would that benefit?) I'd take issue with the statement. Since I don't know them personally, I'll refrain from making statements I know nothing about.
