A win is a win and a sloppy win is still a win. How, in the sixth game of the season, a Sr. 4 year starter at O-tackle, can have multiple false starts in the 1st half is beyond me.

Perhaps the bloom is off the rose. Only 8,413 in attendance yesterday. Attendance for Homecoming games is usually over 10K.
On a second examination,it appeared there were over 2K tailgaters in the tailgate lot who never attended the game, but listened to the call on WBHR and continued their grilling and bean bag games in what is unquestionably the biggest & best tailgate experience in D3.

The tours of prospective students & parents through the tailgate lot on Homecoming was definitely a testiment to the life long connections that SJU & CSB communities build. That and showing off the golf, soccer, baseball & tennis complexes as the tour guides strolled through with prospective students and families.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I have been doing an annual fundraiser for mentally handicapped kids at Walmart for over 20 years and today was the day on the calendar. At the last minute they cancelled us saying they only allowed Boys and Girl Scouts anymore.
Guess they don't know what it is like to watch the tears roll down a little 8 year old girl's cheeks while you pin a 5th place ribbon on her.  We'll find other people who care.

Walmart has  never cared about people...only profits! Enough w that rant...good for you!
I must be fair. Over the years Walmart has contributed thousands of dollars to our (Knights of Columbus) mentally handicapped program locally and millions nationally. It turns out that a local decision cancelled yesterday's event. The manager at a neighboring town wants to schedule us at a later date.

Without Walmart then we would have never had this site: http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/.  And without the PeopleOfWalmart site we would have never had this opportunity to feel better about ourselves by laughing at the fortune of others.

So we've got that going for us, which is nice.

I haven't stepped foot in a Wal-Mart since the early 90s.

Tommies remain in 6th
Johnnies remain in 8th
Concordia drops to 23rd

And Stout gets nine votes.

I'm not quite that much of a purist, but certainly never shop Mal-Wart if there is a decent alternative.  And I'm certainly tired of subsidizing them by paying for food stamps and housing assistance for their grossly underpaid employees.  Not to mention welfare assistance to the local businesses they destroy in small-town America.

Retagent, according to the Supreme Court, corporations are NOT inanimate entities - they are 'persons' with Constitutional protections!  Among my favorite t-shirts is: "I'll believe Corporations are Persons when Texas Starts Executing Them".

The gap tightened a bit between 5 and 6 with Hardin Simmons loss but it all seems about right. I would feel pretty good about UST against just about everyone below the top 3. Not sure we would have the firepower to compete with those 3 and I believe there is a pretty significant gap between Oshkosh and North Central even if the poll doesn't back that up.

I agree, except I have NCC 3 and UWO 4!  I'd love to see a match-up, though hopefully not before AT LEAST round three.  (And by then I hope my IWU team knocks one of them out of the match-up! ;D)

Unless UMU and UMHB have totally left the division behind and gone off into their own universe, I think this could be a totally classic post-season.

I guess a lot of people om here would rather that financially strapped people shop at Whole Foods and Nordstroms. Good for you, if that makes you feel good.

I mostly have to chalk this up to ignorance of NCC and the CCIW, but I guess that blame can fall yo them for not making a deep run in the last few years (to my knowledge). What is the deepest a CCIW team has gone in the last 5?

There are many, many choices between Mal-Wart and Whole Foods/Nordstroms.  And there would be vastly more if Mal-Wart wasn't so predatory.

Not that great.  Last year Wheaton made round three.  In 2013, NCC made it to the semis, losing 40-41 to UMU in a blizzard.

A CCIW team almost always makes it to round two.  Beyond that is hit or miss.
