I was going to yell about Spygate.

Everyone was doing it.

23 fewer expletives and 34 fewer personal insults than if your brother had replied to that.

And perhaps I was going to yell in support of his franchise's ingenuity and just plain bad luck with being the only team caught doing various things.

Most true statement ever posted on the board followed by the biggest lie ever posted on the board.

I missed this story from a few days ago. No comment. Just posting.

https://www.tommiemedia.com/news/augsburg-football-players-kneel-during-anthem-in-protest/

Troll alert.

The SCIAC board descended into a feral mess over this issue in the last week.  It's pleasant (to me at least) that we haven't had the same nasty discussion here.  I'm certain that everyone has some pretty strong and set opinions on this issue.  It's doubtful that any discussion here would result in an outcome other than hurt feelings and bad sentiment.  It most definitely won't affect what Augsburg players do or don't do during the National Anthem.  Almost certainly no opinions here would be changed (I know mine wouldn't be) so how about we avoid this discussion?

(This is not me walking scared from any argument, I would just like us to remain the happy family we are when this is nothing but a trench digging bombshell.  I'm sure the Augsburg community will deal with this issue as they see fit.)

(If this were St John's thing, though, I would be speaking loudly here and elsewhere, I can assure you.  Ain't no one is perfect.)

John Gagliardi is the most overrated coach in NCAA history.

Especially if you consider winning percentage. Caruso holds the all-time record for highest winning percentage in the MIAC, besting Gagliardi by quite a margin.

Seems odd to me that Caruso's Macalester wins and losses are not included. Someone with know-how should update the Wiki.

They are included. He has 27 losses (12 at MAC, 15 at UST) total.

So the Wiki just needs updating concerning the schools he coached at? Until about 15 minutes ago, I didn't even know this Wiki was being maintained. Do the other currently coaching coaches also have their prior schools listed, or is it just the retired coaches? I simply do not know and am asking.

Can't tell you how many fights I've gotten into with people trying to tell me Doyte Perry isn't  the 5th-best college coach in history.

Speaking of coaches,
I cast my vote for Larry Kehres (Mount Union) - 332-24-3, winning percentage 92.9.
Sorry, l had to do that!

Just me again.
By the way, I think John Gagliardi was one of the all-time great coaches..
I mean, check his number of wins. What's not to love about those numbers?
OK! OK! I'll go back to the OAC board.
Good luck to all your teams!

Naw, head on over to the SCIAC Board. I hear they need more fodder.
