I originally mistook the f in shifty for a t. Maybe that applies too?

He was better than I expected him to be.

A tradition unrivaled...

2. I was less pleased to see St Thomas ranked behind Linfield and Wartburg in the first regional ranking, but it does seem justified given the SOS and the fact that Linfield's loss looks a heck of a lot better than ours. If Linfield gets a top seed or even just a home game for a few weeks, I'll try to get to their 2nd round game as I'll be out visiting my brother for Thanksgiving.  Outside of a top seed for St Thomas, I think best case scenario would be to get lumped in either Linfield's bracket or get sent out east (after a few games in St Paul).

3. St John's is in good position as the 1st at-large in the west and only looks to improve if they can beat Concordia. I think the same goes for Concordia if they beat SJU and move up a few spots.

The Tommies can and should move up a little once RRO wins are accounted for. Given SJU and Concordia's standing, UST will likely have two RRO's factored in at the end of this. That should move them a bit. I don't expect them to be hosting on a 3rd weekend, barring a 1 seed getting upset, but they should host at least 1 round, probably 2, as long as they keep winning.

SJU is sitting fine. It would take some mayhem for that to change. Mayhem like Stout winning out and another oddity or two on top of that. I would say the same for the Cobbers as well if they were to win the big game next Saturday.

As an aside, my mom dated Davey Johnson, who managed Viola at the Mets and was a great second baseman for the Cards, in high school.

Sorry to fact check you Oz, but Johnson never played for the Cards. He played for the Orioles, Braves, Phillies and Cubs.

No worries, mate. I never let facts get in the way of a good story. :D

I wish I knew how to respond Bluenote, but I'm just going to assume you shut down the Bitter Monk or the Grain Station last night.

Eat a big breakfast, drink lots of water and take some Tylenol. You'll feel better by this afternoon.

Go get The Hammer today Auggies!!

So, what trick plays will the Auggies have is store for Bethel this weekend? They have come up with some pretty creative (although not always legal :) ) trick plays the last couple years against Bethel.

I was going to go to the UWW/UW Platteville game today, but the weather here is crap. Now I get to watch the Johnnies on my big screen, using my ROKU. It was listed under the Hamline icon, but not SJU, so I'm assuming it's their feed. I hope it's synced with the audio of Mark and Bryan.

Well, that didn't take long. Half back pass on first possession and an onside kick. :)
