It was listed under the Hamline icon, but not SJU, so I'm assuming it's their feed. I hope it's synced with the audio of Mark and Bryan.

The HU mics needed some leveling.

AGREED! Can't hear one & get your ear drums blown out by the other! Glad to see the Johnnie's rolling after that atrocious start!

It's official on senior day. Jordan Roberts is done. I think he had another concussion against Concordia. He got in to the game for the last play as safety.

Congrats on great career for Roberts. He killed the Johnnies when Tommies broke the long losing skid in 2010 and went on from there.

DuffMan

That's a disappointing way for him to go out, but congrats to Jordan on a stellar career.

Mr.MIAC

Yeah, it is a shame that the running ended in a fizzle, but he goes onto much bigger and better things.  Good luck, Roberts.

Reading through the post game analysis, I found the following facts:

"The Tommies have outscored seven conference foes 361-62, including a 200-20 margin over the last three games."

As a result, I can only recall one quarter this year of UST conference football that was really competitive, and that was the 4th quarter of the UST vs. SJU game.  For conference play, these are some pretty sad statistics and really makes for a lot of boring games.

I would really like to see UST scheduling some nonconference foes in a single year like Linfield or Whitewater, Oshkosh, Hardin Simmons or even MHB.  We run the table every year in the MIAC and would be great to see at least two really good football games a year prior to the playoffs.  Even if we went 1-1 during the preseason, we still are assured of a playoff spot.  Even looking back over the last 10 years, the only convincing win that SJU has had over UST was in 2007; in a 51-34 victory.

However, next year looks like it could be a competitive year in the MIAC.  We lose a ton of talent and maybe SJU, Con, Bethel and even Gustavus can elevate.  But then I look at the talent level at the Jr. Soph, and Fr. classes.  Once again, it will be plugging in the next up, and next years team could end up being even more talented team than this year.

Let's try and avoid the emotional outbursts of a 16 year old and actually provide some feedback that are based on facts and solutions.

Any thoughts?

You make some good points. Bethel, Concordia, and SJU are the only MIAC teams to challenge UST the past five years. Concordia and SJU are the only MIAC teams to challenge UST the past couple of years. We can talk all we want about loose academic standards and football recruiting, but UST's academic standards are rising apace while the football team is finding success. For all the talk of UST going DI/ DII, maybe it's the other MIAC teams that need to suck it up and perform.

I was about to say, "Have a good look in the mirror and heed your own advice."  But then I thought maybe you were speaking to yourself, the king of outbursts most like one from a 16-year-old.

The Toms don't lose much next year. A couple O lineman, a couple d-lineman, and a LB or two. All the playmakers are back on offense. It may actually be one of their most experienced teams.

Crazy that the defense gave up 1 TOTAL YARD of offense today, especially with backups playing much of the 2nd half too. I think that is 4 or 5 game this year now where they have given up 0 yards or less rushing. I don't think it's hyperbole to say that all 4 starting LB are legitimate 1st team all conference / all region candidates. They only lose 1 of this guys to graduation I think.

I went back and edited my post to the "outburst of a 16 year old" you were exactly who I was thinking of.  Over the years, "how dare anybody offed the GREAT OZJOHNNIE" You are the f'ing drama queen of this board, and guess what, your Johnnies are yesterday news.  "Edited just for you"  Like my Brit friends would say "Piss off."
