I kind of wish that instead of allocating the budget towards an international trip, that every few years or so UST would schedule a Linfield or a UMHB, or some other top tier program for a home-and-home.

In that case they could play two far away road games in one year to offset the two international trips.

Well, he's on the trip, so there's at least a greater than zero percent chance.

You think he's pulling a Brett Favre? Could be chill.

So, two years ago the UND Men's hoops team played an international tour in which they played in France, Germany, Belgium and Italy. What's the difference?

Send 3rd/4th stringers to Canada, let the 1st/2nd team go to Italy. Sorry Fasching didn't think of that. Probably the difference in the last 4 games between the two teams, to be honest.

I think it's no coincidence that UST has made it to the Stagg Bowl twice following their international trips.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe this spring UST will travel to Ireland and Italy. I'm assuming they are cutting Canada out this time.

Yes! Lest the Johnnie faithful never forget the mysteriously not so -secret exotic international trip to Winnipeg in non marked government coach bus. One of the greatest scandals in MIAC history folks!

A few UST questions for Saturday's game:

1. While Pallini was pretty involved in the passing game (and Vik) throughout the season, it appears that Iverson and Green are now the top WR targets and starters and I didn't see Pallini involved much last week. Maybe he was on the field and just didn't get targeted? The boxscore on tommiesports lists Green and Pallini as the WR starters.
2. What will the health status of Trettel (and to a lesser extent Parks - I think he went out just due to the fumbles) be? He's been banged up and sat a lot last week due to fumbling and injury I believe.
3. Who will get the #3 carries if it comes to that? Wagner got the #3 RB carries last week and looked good. YPC wasn't great, but he held onto the ball and helped to milk the clock in the 4th. Loeffler got the earlier carries against Eureka but didn't get a carry against Berry.
4. Is Jacques Perra our best punting QB yet? His 47 yard average is better than Gould (41.9) even though Gould was a high school punter. And he has had 9 of 11 inside the 20 (the other 2 went for touchbacks). Some of this might be due to an evolution in quick-kick usage. It looks like 2015 with Gould was the first year we employed this extensively.

Not that anyone cares, I am predicting UMHB >= 10.

I always care about the commentary Johnnies provide. It's great to have historical reference points...

Per the Tweeters, St John's will host Thomas More in week 10 next year and Scholastica is dropping their game.

So that's what I've been doing this week.  ;)
And...
So far the deer are winning. Like I mentioned,it's ideal deer habitat. There are plenty of pictures on my trail cameras and lots of scrapes & rubs, they just need to come out in the open  ;)

A few factoids about the Minnesota muzzleloader season.
1) It's hunters choice, you can legally take a buck or a doe.
2) It's after the initial rut.
3) We have a full moon phase starting, so things should heat up.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

105- maybe with a muzzleloader you should be taking up position on the fence line getting ready for Picketts charge or something.  ;D

I like the Thomas More pickup, and I can't say that I'm sad to see CSS go.  Maybe CSS would be better off checking if EPHS has the date open?

Gotcha.  It can get frustrating, but even after a slow day in the field, I always look back and think that it still beats sitting on the couch.
