BTW what kind of dog is that you hunt with? Pretty cool looking, looks big too?

He's a Spinone Italiano.  He's 85 lbs at 16 months old.

Duff is making up names to sound all cool, sophisticated & European!   8-)

You talking about your dog or the St Thomas coach?

I used to have a Great Dane that was definitely taller than Caruso.

I cringe when people ask what he is because of the blank stares I get when I respond.  :D

I will be curious to follow the discussions of the Tommie fans who experienced the CRUthedral.

Catching up after the trip to Belton.  We had a great experience down at UHMB.  Facility is first class and very modern.  Very well thought out and placed on campus.  UHMB fans were outstanding and very complimentary of St Thomas.  Classy game by both sides, which was great to see.  Several UHMB fans came up to the team bus area after the game and offered their congrats to UST on a fine game and season.  We in turn did the same as we were leaving, wishing them well against Brockport and pulling for them to get their second title.

Bummed of course with the outcome.  Thought the field was tilting in UST's favor in the third quarter, but some stalled drives and untimely sacks really killed any momentum we were gaining.  The defense was outstanding and it was great to see them perform so highly against a huge opponent.  Big games always come down to special teams and turnovers and this one was no different.  A tip of the cap to UHMB for making some great plays there early in the 4th quarter.

I think UHMB makes it to the finals relatively easily.  From there though they're going to need some more offense to win the title, in my view.  No reason they can't win a low scoring game again, but their chances will be much better if they can score a little more.  UWO and UMU defenses are solid as well.

Great season for UST.  Tough to bow out again in the quarters, but they left it all out there on the field.  This was a fantastic group of young men who represented the university and MIAC very well.

I'd be happy to keep posting if there is something of value to discuss. We pretty well hit the major points on the game yesterday, areas the team needs to improve for next year. I'll give it a few days before getting into who is returning and who we expect to fill in some of the gaps.

Would love to hear some Johnnie's perspective on swapping Scholastica for Thomas More.
Anybody know who we have lined up for OOC? I'm assuming Eau Claire continues.

Has anything here ever had value?

I suppose that's pretty subjective. Sometimes us Tommies come up with something good or interesting. Sometimes the Bethel posters do also. Otherwise, generally not.

Duff,
Did you get to take the pallet home to build a dog house? :-\
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I think the SJU should have played Brockport in the first round.  ::) :P :'(

SJU's season would have been over either way.

SJU didn't deserve having to play NCC in round one, but the alternative was NOT Brockport!

Linfield hosting HSU can be 'justified' by the west coast/Texas 'island'.  SJU @ NCC was unjustifiably unfair to both.

Gene did a nice little recap of the season. That defense was amazing. Looks like there will be 7 starters on each side of the ball returning. Not too bad.
