Personally I'm impressed anyone could put five pages together describing why they can't finish something.  Ironically they were able to finish the paper.  Too funny

You obviously haven't employed many Johnnies. I think they teach a course on creative excuse-making up in Collegeville. If not, they must look for potential in that area during the admissions process...

It looks like someone up at SJ2 really dropped the ball on this one. Check out Lindmark's comments.

Had to share this, incredibly jealous of the Johnnies who got $7k to write a single paper on whatever they wanted.  I had some good summer jobs during college, but nothing that paid that well for part time work or allowed that much freedom.  Maybe Roger would have been happier if they wrote about Tommie failures.

A very Early prediction of the 2018 MIAC Final Football Standings

SJU 10-0 – 8-0            New O will open it up and this could be Johnnies quickest D in a very long time
St Thomas 9-1 – 7-1    Typical Tommy Season until Oct 13th that is.
Bethel – 8-2 - 6-2        Royals will be in Playoff hunt and their two MIAC losses won't be an automatic death blow
Concordia – 7-3 – 5-3  Another solid season, just too much talent at the top of the heap.
Augsburg – 6-4  -4-4   Getting closer to challenging week in week out
Gustavus – 4-6 - 3-5   Gusties still trying to keep pace but its getting harder
St Olaf – 3-7  - 2-6      Improvement is realized just not in the win column
Hamline – 3-7 –1-7     Well at least they have Carleton to insulate them from the cellar
Carleton – 0-10 – 0-8  Four wins in Four seasons? It does not turn for them in 2018.

@Ratbacker, well thought out analysis of the 2018 MIAC race. I concur the new look Johnnie O could bring us back to a season when the "Point a Minute Crew" ruled the MIAC  8-)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Now for an objective view point.

This might be Caruso's best team ever. The gap was significant a year ago and even larger at the end of the season. The Tommies return 16.5 starters from a team ranked 4th in the country at the end of the year. They will probably be ranked 2-3 to start the season. Their defense, believe it or not might be better than it was a year ago (barring injuries), which is scary. The offense most certainly will be better. Home field will help keep it close, but it won't be enough. The Tommies are too big, strong and talented. Could the Johnnies do it? Sure, anything can happen in rivalry game, but not likely. The feeling on Summit Ave. is this is their year.

Duff, I knew that was coming (from either you or Faunch) Ok, semi-objective, but, logically based. I even gave you a +k for questioning.  ;D

Objectively, St Thomas has beat St John's the last 4 times they've played, 7 of the last 9, and won the conference 6 of the last 8 years so I think the facts support the Tommie-bias at play in the world (and not just in the business world anymore).

Mr.MIAC

I wish SJ2 all the best. I'm sure they'll have a stellar year, with high attendance and record-breaking bread sales...

I'll be in Collegeville to watch the Johnnies sink the Tommies this year. I look forward to seeing that piece of the 10-0 season.
