I'll be in Collegeville to watch the Johnnies sink the Tommies this year. I look forward to seeing that piece of the 10-0 season.

Mmmmmmm, don't forget to bring the 'Roo Brats to share at the tailgate party  ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Ugh!! "Roo Brats" Just pour salt in my wound! I was really hoping to break some bread/beer with some of you in Collegeville this year however, my idiot best friend decided that would be a good date for his daughter's (my God daughter) wedding. I still plan to catch an SJ2 game this year (that won't involve the Tommies) Believe it or not I have plenty of solid SJ2 connections as well especially with the CDH kids on the team. I want to make sure I get see Max Jackson play at least once this year, he just might be the best player in the conference, I do believe he is the best "athlete" in the conference. His parents are great people and were guests of mine at my daughter's wedding last week.

A very Early prediction of the 2018 MIAC Final Football Standings

SJU 10-0 – 8-0            New O will open it up and this could be Johnnies quickest D in a very long time
St Thomas 9-1 – 7-1    Typical Tommy Season until Oct 13th that is.
Bethel – 8-2 - 6-2        Royals will be in Playoff hunt and their two MIAC losses won't be an automatic death blow
Concordia – 7-3 – 5-3  Another solid season, just too much talent at the top of the heap.
Augsburg – 6-4  -4-4   Getting closer to challenging week in week out
Gustavus – 4-6 - 3-5   Gusties still trying to keep pace but its getting harder
St Olaf – 3-7  - 2-6      Improvement is realized just not in the win column
Hamline – 3-7 –1-7     Well at least they have Carleton to insulate them from the cellar
Carleton – 0-10 – 0-8  Four wins in Four seasons? It does not turn for them in 2018.

I'd flip UST and SJU - I'm of the same opinion as MIACMan...hard to see them getting knocked off with how good their defense was, though I'd love to see it happen, be it SJU or BU, just to mix things up.

I'd also flip BU and Cord.  I don't know that enough of anything has changed with Bethel vs last year to make me think they'll pass the Cobbs.

At least there is something to laud.  :P
Duff,
He forgets that one of those NAIA teams was arguably the best football team the Johnnies ever played with 8 players drafted by the NFL/AFL including All Pros and a Hall of Famer.

Making the MIAC tour this summer to shop for a college for my oldest son, who will be a senior this upcoming year.  So far we have visited Concordia, SJU (twice  ;)), UST, and Bethel.  Tomorrow it is Carleton and Macalester.

Must be pretty sharp if he can get into those two schools. Not sure about the tye-dye, but if so, he might as well add sandals to the days attire.

Calling all SJ2 folk, here's your chance to finally get that rare fan gear you've been seeking! Once in a lifetime opportunity here! Don't miss out!

But the web site you posted has US$, oops, UST gear. Why would anyone from SJ2, er, SJU be interested? I mean it's not like............... Oh! Never mind. I get it! Remember, I'm old, etc.
Go Tommies. Go Johnnies! You know what's next. Go Everybody!

And by the way, I wear sandals every day in the summer. Living in California for 16 years changed me into the person I am today. So be very careful on the "sandals" reference. LOL

You get a pass on the sandals (you're old)

Actually, I thought everyone would get a kick out some idiot on craigslist trying to sell an old Tommie hankie that UST used to give away at their booth during the State Fair.

Actually, that was hilarious. I just had to be my usual silly self.
Thanks for the pass on the sandals. I am definitely old, not that there's anything wrong with that! Hey, it beats the alternative. Of course, everyone I know my age is dead. High school friends, college friends, old enemies. But I digress.
Can't wait until football season. Two, that's 2, months away. Talk to ya later.

Just got my copy of Johnnie 'Forward'. Beautiful magazine but the only picture I recognized was Clemens Stadium.  :)
Anybody else get a copy?
