As my son took a 2nd tour of UST yesterday (gulp), the Tommies seemed to be scrimmaging a team called the "Thunder."  (that's what it said on the scoreboard)  In the 3 plays I watched, the Tommies scored a touchdown on a 10-15 yard swing pass.
I would guess it was Fond du Lac out of Cloquet, but maybe Wheaton wanted to make the long trip and see the fair.

They were wearing orange uniforms if that helps . . .

It was them. I found the scrimmage on their schedule: https://fdltcc.edu/campus-life/thunder-athletics/football/#roster

BOOOOOOOO!!!!  Living will kill you!!!!

If we listened to the world's busybodies then we would spend our entire lives wrapped in cotton balls and drinking tasteless goop through a tube snaked down our nose.

I have row G in section 106.  I'll stand and wave a hankie at section 105.  :)
So close to the Promised Land, yet so far......  8-)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Nick Heenie featured here. He will cause some problems for MIAC defensive backfields this fall which should open up the running game for the Auggies. Give Frisell some time and look out.

Hawthorn's pathway to the Grand Final is out.  It won't be easy, but whenever is the post-season easy?  Unique to Aussie Rules, finishing in the top four gets you a double chance.  Teams in the top four can lose the first game of the playoffs and stay in.  Top four winners in the first round get a bye week to rest up.

So we take on top team Richmond in two weeks to start the finals.  Anything can happen once you make it!

I'm sporting my Hawks shirt today, so they're golden.  ;)

Game week. Any ideas of what to make of Stout? They obviously had the W over UST early last season but it was otherwise a pretty average season from a W/L perspective (5-4 overall).

Interesting to see Stout plays at GAC next week. Two road MIAC non conference games is less than ideal start.

OldAuggie

My $.02 since Stout is my new, favorite WIAC team.

5-4 WIAC > 5-4 MIAC.

I have seen Stout in scrimmages and watched on streaming broadcast last year vs. UST. They had good size two years ago when I saw the scrimmage.  I think they will beat GAC for sure and give SJU one hell of a challenge.

Trying to slide it past everyone? Going to be a surprise to few people this Saturday!!!
I hope season ticket holders get a free "passport" account.
The season pass includes all home games live and on demand. The $45 is worth it considering I have a high school freshman volleyball player that has a couple Saturday tournaments.
I could also see a number of season ticket holders making the purchase for the on demand option.

Yeah, there are.

I'm stuck with my traditional Labor Day struggle.  If it's nice, I'll probably have to stay at the lake (tough, I know), but it the weather is iffy, I will have to make the trek to the holy land.
