Actually, there have been bars in MN that have been busted for illegally hauling in kegs of it.

glad to have you back to the MIAC board. As you can see my younger counterparts have properly addressed your inquiry. I'm not a craft beer drinker anyway (although, Spotted Cow is pretty good IMO) You know me nothing but the "Best Light" Milwaukee's that is. Just picked a couple of cases the other day. 10.99/case hard to beat that! Hey our teams are lookin' pretty good. Remember my prediction, Raiders/Tommies National Semi-Final in Alliance, we'll be drinking your beer being that you'll be the host. Got a few hurdles to get over. SJ2 lookin' good as well. It's a beer that is only available to be purchased in WI, from New Glarus brewing.

Highly over-rated, IMO.  Not bad, I just don't find it to be notably special, or different from other craft ale.

I like their Moon Man variety quite a bit more.

To be honest, Spotted Cow is fine, but it's overpriced for what you are getting.  I'm not one to shy away from expensive beer provided that the product is worth it.

I bought some Fulton Specter the other week.  I couldn't find it last year, so I was determined to get it this fall.  It was dang good!


$10.99/case beer has it's place, too--generally on a boat.

Hey Johnnies. I'm beginning to put together my plans for a Tommie-Johnnie pilgrimage to Collegeville (I'm skipping a family church event to go, so I told my wife I'd stop by the chapel after the game to make it legit). I'll have a few friends with me and maybe a 6 and 8 year old.

Anything I should know about the tailgating circumstances up at SJU this year? Is there a way to get tickets online beforehand so we don't have to get to the ticket booths early? I'm not too worried about getting a good seat over on the Tommie sideline with the rest of the beautiful people.

I understand that you are old and forget things, but keep in mind that I'm a Tommie so I'm actually a terrible person, not "really good." GoldandBlueBU is from Bethel so probably decent and my mama told me if I didn't have anything nice to say, I shouldn't make any comments about DuffMan.

I agree with the boat! Also, anytime you're with your cheap-ass brothers that only bring a 6-pack and then proceed to drink 2/3 of your beer. Obviously Hamm's is good for this as well as some others. I prefer Milwaukee's Best Light or Busch Light because they are lower in carbs. I will pretty much drink any beer if you're buying.

Oh, you have those, too?    Mine are in-laws.  Actually, most of them have gotten very good about this now, but there is one that's awful, and he actually has the gall to piss and moan if you happen to drink one of "his" beers.

We left around 7am a few years ago but still missed the Flynntown Lot. But I also discovered that on Tommie-Johnnie day, everything is a tailgating lot even if not officially sanctioned for it (unless they plan to actually enforce or something), so long as you don't do anything stupid. I think we'll aim to leave at 8am this time.
