I don't think they would drop out of the top 25.  They'd hit the upper teens, most likely.

However, I concur with Mr Duff's assessment.  I would love to be wrong, but I feel like this first go around with a very good opponent will be a challenge for Roste - maybe he'll rise to the moment, but I suspect the royals will struggle offensively.

Likewise for SJU, I think they may take a quarter and a half or so to adjust their level of play up against the toughest defense they've seen to date (this season), but I'm guessing they'll end up winning by a couple of touchdowns.

A close loss for Bethel would almost assuredly get them a good number of points in the poll as well.

I think the game could come down to the passing game.  Bethel is 8th in the MIAC in passing offense and 8th in the conference in passing defense.  This bodes well for Erdmann and company--2nd in the MIAC in passing offense.  On the ground, Bethel is always tough (3rd in the MIAC), but SJU's got a pretty stout run defense.  I expect the Royal defense to bottle up the Johnnie run game, but Erdmann has been on fire this season, and he's going to give the Royals problems.  As we've seen in the past, the Royals will struggle to play catch up when ground game is their bread and butter.

So would they drop out of the T25?

No, absolutely not. They are in the top 10 and deservedly so. If they get upset, expect them to drop 5-6 spots 15th/16th worst case.

Yikes - I had no idea that there was a discussion going under the top 25 this week. I checked it out Sunday and Monday after it was posted and hadn't been back since.

It might become a monkey-stomp, but I think the Johnnie Defense will keep it from being that big of a Bethel win.

When UST lost to an unranked UW-Stout last year, did they drop out of the top 25? I don't remember.

He clearly hasn't been paying attention for long.  When BU was coming off of strong years, they were rated the following year much more favorably early.  5-5 last year and the year before, plus the teams they've played this year doesn't prove anything.

When UST lost to an unranked UW-Stout last year, did they drop out of the top 25? I don't remember.

They fell from 4th to 10th, not even remotely close to 'out of the top 25'.  And remember that they were only 1-0 before the loss, not 4-0.  IF they lose, SJU will drop a couple of spots (assuming they don't get triple monkey stomped!), but not remotely out of the top 25.
