Snow white was walking with the seven dwarves, when the ground gave way and the dwarves fell into a deep cavern in the ground, they were so far down she couldn't see them in the dark.

She called out, is everyone OK? A voice called back with "St Thomas will be national champions this year."

"OK," thought Snow White, at least Dopey's survived.

Just heard...My condolences to the John Gagliardi Family and Johnnie Nation...He was an icon for college football, but I think from what I have heard and understand he was a life mentor to many of his players not in just in football but also in life...I just hope that divine intervention doesn't show up...May he rest in peace and sleep in on saturday :)
"Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that."

"When I played pro football, I never set out to hurt anyone deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something." - Dick Butkus

SJU has their "guide" posted, though I find the information quite generic and unreliable.

Johnnie/Tommie Event Info

$15 for Tickets! Looks like they are trying to take advantage of us, huh? That's as much as I paid last year for Target Field when there was all sorts of complaining about the price gouging and profit seeking by the Johns.

I guess somebody in SJU's administration must have gone to business school at UST and learned a few things.

UST 32, SJU $15

Is that a score prediction?

It's a good thing UST has that broadcast contract with nationally respected WCCO so you can stream the audio online. Maybe they'll even get Fritz or Ayo back on the sideline for this game.

You'll probably miss the first 10 minutes of the game, though, as WCCO won't start till 1:10.

I love that the 10-minutes-past-the-hour thing is part of the rivalry. Hilarious. :)

D O.C.

Hey you guys, I'm sorry to hear the news.
I did a no-no and walked on the field to shake his hand in McMinnville in 2002. He was a tad taken back but smiled and bid me adieu.
I'm glad I did.

I'm glad you caught him.  John couldn't get off the field fast enough after games.

Mr.MIAC

Does anyone know how SJ2's pay-per-view experiment is going? I figure subscription numbers are low, given that most Johnnies probably can't afford Internet access. I guess fans could be huddling around computers at the local library. It must be a whole new world for them...spending time at a library.

DJ: "Congratulations on being our 1st caller, all you have to do is answer the next question correctly to win our grand prize."

Me: "Great"

DJ: "It's a Maths question. Feeling confident?"

Me: "Yes, why not. I've got a PhD in a science and I have taught maths at the highest level."

DJ:"Okay then, to win 2 VIP tickets to an evening with Glenn Caruso, and you get to meet him after his talk and sit with him at his own table during the dinner, what's 2+2?"

Me: "7"

Hey Pat. Can you change the board configuration so that we can -k Oz each time he posts a dumb joke, instead of just once a day, just for this week? Thanks!

I figure subscription numbers are low ...

I think people assume subscription numbers on Kickoff and the podcast are low, too, but that would be a bad assumption for our site. I don't know if SJU's model is based more around game-day single-game buys or the season ticket.

I am curious how it is actually going.  I'd love to watch on saturday, but there's no way I'm paying to watch a D3 game online, and I'd imagine that the vast majority of non SJU / UST fans are in the same boat, and that a large number of actual fans are unwilling to pay to watch online.

Wonder if they'd ever reverse course?  Hope they don't do the same for basketball...
