I suspect you are a Crown Lager fan :)

I don't mind a "Crownie" (notice a pattern in Aussie slang?).  Currently, my favourite premium lager is James Boags.  But it can afford to cycle when you've got plenty of choice.  :)

A great win & a great game plan for the Johnnies.

It's alway nice to see UST Bench & Mrs. Bench at the tailgate pre-game festivities.

Go Johnnies!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

U$TD will forever be #2! There's a reason SJU has a #1 in the logo! The Tommies have a lot of catching up to do in the series!

At my age, my adult beverage of choice is Metamucil (smooth-unsweetened). :)

Have noticed in the past that you say, "colour", not "color" and "favourite" not "favorite". I know you are a fairly recent citizen of Australia but have really picked up the English spellings. And you have a roo on your log ons. Just thought I'd mention it. Cheerio! Or G'day. Or whatever.
In any language, St. John's 40 - St. Thomas 20. Congrats to your alma mater. 🍺☠🏈❗️

I used to pay attention to my spelling, making sure I spelled American on here and Aussie at work.  But it's too much trouble anymore.

I wouldn't have put any money on SJU and after the first couple of possessions I thought we were in big trouble.
I've heard that last year SJU practiced the same offensive game plan and then shelved it just before the game. I've said for a couple years that you can't expect to run against U$T with their speed and pressure. Plays need to go north / south not east / west. It will be interesting to see if other teams apply the same game plan against U$TD.
Last year when UW-Stout beat them they threw for 263 and ran for 50 yards.
It also helps to have a quarterback that can sling the ball like Erdmann.
I was talking to a parent of a player prior to the game & he said "don't be surprised if we throw the ball 60 times today. We are playing to win this year."

Last year with Evan Clark getting 3 touches, one would suspect that there was a lot of second guessing if indeed this type of game plan was shelved shortly before game time last year at Target Field.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Great win for Saint John's yesterday, today it is nice to cheer for a purple team for a change...

3. Threw to the outside and picked apart man coverage...o-line gave Jackson enough time!
Does St. Olaf,Gustavus or Bethel have the athletes to duplicate this type of game plan vs UST? I would venture to say Gustavus has the QB and receivers but not sure of the O-line play. Bethel with Marsh at QB if he plays like he did against SJU could put a scare into the Toms. Time will tell how it shakes out.

St John's certainly laid out the blueprint on how to dominate St Thomas yesterday! I wonder why they didn't go with this game plan last season at Target Field?

Blueprint, sure, but there aren't a whole lot of teams that could execute that against the Tommies.

The NCAA playoff selection committee's Strength of Schedule ratings have been updated. A quick glance shows Bethel at #4 & St John's at #11.

The line's ability to block the blitz-every-down Tommie defence was spectacular. The Tommies throw so many men at the o-line that I bet the Johnnie linemen are suffering a little PSTD today.  But they bought Erdmann enough time, he commanded enough poise, and the receivers all had very sticky fingers.  I reckon very few D3 teams would have stood up against the Tommie pressure.

It's important to remember the defence and the seven turnovers they forced.  The Tommie offence was potent, but the big plays belonged mostly to the Johnnie D.

How great would it have been if Parks had stayed a Johnnie as he once intended?  That offence would be so potent that you wouldn't be allowed to watch it without a doctor's prescription.
