UFC fans?  I have issues with UFC over the last few years.  It's evolved into a one-dimensional kick-boxing competition with a little bad wrestling on the side.  Gone is the BJJ specialist.  Gone is karate.  Gone is the wrestler first.  Muai Thai is no more.  Boxing, nope.  What was once an exciting, unpredictable amalgamation of fighters from a number of different trades thrown in a cage with a death match appeal has turned into sub-par boxing.

I drifted from the sweet science to UFC but now I'm back to boxing.  And Muai Thai, which when it comes to hard-core combat sports cannot be beat, in my opinion.  Not as elegant as boxing, but meaner and that, too, is entertaining.

All World Augsburg wrestler Marcus Levesseur (155-0 at Augsburg and 296-0 amateur record) had a career in MMA and UFC. I am not knowledgeable on this but it seems like a death match to me!

ok, the 9 schools TMU has played thus far this year are from the states of:

NC, IN, WI, AL, NY, VA, MN, OH, and PA.  [9 games against 9 schools from 9 (uniquely) different states]

So, I conclude 9 games against 9 schools all from 9 different US states.  (that seems a bit unusual to me)

Furthermore, TMU is located in the state of KY. 

So they not only played schools from 9 different states, but not one of those 9 states was against a school from their 'home' state.

So, they have a streak of 9 straight games of playing a school from a different state then each prior opponents' state

So,  do they have a scheduling 'plan' to NOT play opponents located in their home state,  as well as NOT playing against a subsequent opponent whose location is a state in which they've already scheduled an prior opponent from the same respective state for that year)

(unless of course, the state is MN, since SJU will break their 9 game 'unique' state streak)

No.  They've had trouble finding regional d3 opponents to play TM since the mid-90s.  During my time as a player we played some d3, but also many 1-AA (how it was known back then), d2 and NAIA schools.  Before my time they played at Montana, who was defending 1-AA Champs at the time, I believe. The D3 schools played in my time there included ASC, WIAC, Albion, and Il Wesleyan and teams in NY.  Take a look at their historical schedules on the Thomas More website.

Their biggest rival, MSJ, has quit The Bridge Bowl twice now.  Some of this is related to a big fight at the conclusion of a game at Hanover in 1993 and some was how some didn't like the HC.  The program has always seemed to be regarded as renegade. 

The school first sponsored football in 1991 and didn't have an on-campus home stadium until 1999, so they've always traveled, even to Home Games during those years.

St. Paul Johnson recovered from a 22-0 deficit to beat St. Anthony Village. Great win for a St. Paul Public School. Most of them struggle in just about everything these days.

As a St. Anthony Village alumnus and former coach, it was a loss that will burn for a long while (had the foot on the throat and let off the gas).  Congrats to the Govs, but man, coulda/woulda/shoulda.

I don't think anything is officially announced, but Perra is still listed #1 on the 2-deep in the game notes. I would be really surprised if it's not Perra but if he has a short leash if we don't get to an early lead.

Coach has said a few times that it's possible we (intentionally, and not just because one is playing poorly) play both tomorrow. I probably won't be doing much or any posting on the in-game updates board tomorrow since I'll be at the game and trying to keep my fingers warm.

It's true. We've got plenty of evidence from the last number of Johnnies seasons about that kind of sucking if we need support.

Putting my purple tinted glasses on, I think Perra comes alive tomorrow in his hometown* (he's from Roseville, close enough) and leads the Tommies on a sweet sweet playoff run.
I just had to tentatively give my BIL the stiff-arm on a potential birthday party for our nephew due to potential playoff game conflicts.

I'll take it a step further and say I think it's more likely that Bethel gets shut out than UST.
But I don't think either will happen.
