Something that gets lost in the shuffle of team stat comparisons this time of year...

Bethel's D has faced the cream of the crop of D3 QB's (I know Mount has a great one too). Has another team faced off against a trio as good as Sacia (Wart), Erdmann(SJU), and Rutter (NCC). Before the playoffs, they were all right at the top in terms of completion percentage, passing efficiency, TD's, etc. Throw in Perra (UST) and Veldman (GAC) and that's some serious firepower under center that BU has stared down this year.

So look at the stringer Whitworth's hometown paper found ....

Well that traitor.  Somewhat ironic that Whitworth will have a much better local paper story than SJU.

Great game, Johnnies.  Nice victory.  Despite being a little off, particularly on D, they Jays did the job.

Whitworth played cheap and dirty to the end.  Nice program you got out there.  I miss Linfield, a team that plays the game as it should be.  Go Cats.  Pirates suck.

EDIT: What's up with the Pirates charging the victory formation and then talking lip trying to get a jJohnnie tossed and missing the next game?  That's some embarrassing crap, that is.  The Pirates did not cover themselves with glory with their sportsmanship this game.

If you run into an a**hole in the morning, you ran into an a*sshole. If you run into a**holes all day, you're the a**hole.

I have yet to meet a bigger bunch of whiners and complainers than the few SJU posters who make the most noise. I mean look at the above guy watching the game on the video feed who knows that Whitworth was "talking lip trying to get a Johnnie tossed and missing the next game." It's sad when you have such a strong program and a great QB this year...

Congrats on the win, this offense against UMHB is gonna be fun to watch. Enjoy Belton, the folks down there will get you to some good eating if you make the trip down.

You have been projecting all week.  Is that normal with you or just something you've been afflicted with this week?

We heard from duffman, who was at the game about Whitworth's style of play-so 509 you are dead wrong.
We alumni of SJU can complain when the team doesn't fire on all cylinders-as we are looking for a championship team, not a second round team.

Congrats to the Johnnies.

Go Bethel!

And to continue the "who has the hardest road to the Stagg Bowl" discussion: (as Oz has already alluded to)

UMHB #2 vs. St. John's #3 for a total of 5 points.
UWW #5 vs Bethel #11 for a total of 16 points.
UMU #1 vs. Muhlenberg #23 for a total of 24 points.
RPI #35 vs. Johns Hopkins #14 for a total of 49 points.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the bracket is a bit a-kilter.

Thanks for learning how to use the quote function and fixing that...

It's been awhile since my last Psych rotation but I remember enough to know you're using that term incorrectly. Hopefully y'all are better sports after your loss next week than you are after a win. Though I'm sure UMHB players will be meanies and the refs will be awful.

Wrong about what? That Oz johnnie has no idea what was said at the end of the game or at any point in the middle for that matter. Or any individual players intentions? Because he doesn't but ok. Reading comprehension may not be your strong suit but read what I posted, quote it, and tell me what I'm dead wrong about.

And which one of you is complaining about the team? All I've heard are complaints about refs, missed calls, players who might have said mean things, etc.

Lot of thin skin in this board. Maybe some repressed memories...did any of you by chance grow up in Pennsylvania?

Man you are touchy-just go away now-we would like to discuss next week, which doesn't include you our your team.

So, early thoughts on UMBH? Thinking SJU needs to score early and often-maybe it will look like Michigan v OSU today.

You seem to have an obsession with that topic.

You're a poor troll.

The Lindfield guys are witty.

Yeah, I reckon both teams, if playing well, will threaten to score on every drive.  It will come down to one or two stops to make the whole game.  If one side gets a fit of the turnovers then it could turn into a blowout.  But other than that, I think it will be a high scoring affair with less than a one TD score difference.

Ha!  Now there's a quote no one here ever thought would be uttered.
