Congrats on the season, Johnnies.  A lot of heart.  Whether quarterfinal, semifinal or final -- a tremendous game against an excellent opponent.

Great season, Johnnies!  Lots to be proud of in 2018.  It sucks to play your last game as a senior, but time eases the hurt.

A tradition unrivaled...

On to basketball and we can continue the rivalry talk

I'm on board, although I alternated between UST men's and women's games the other night, and with an 8 year old daughter, I found the ladies more engaging - ball movement, quality 3-pt shooting, etc. Hoping to make my first Tommie/Johnnie bball games since undergrad this year. Always a challenge to squeeze it in with kid's bedtimes.

I should probably take this to the hoops board, but it looks like the Toms have a helluva a Freshman PG, that will be equal parts skilled, clutch, and annoying for opposing fans for the next 4 years. A confident fella, and a cake-eater to boot.

Congrats Royals and Johnnies on two really great seasons. Wish we had a team still alive, but both battled hard today.

Hoops board has a bit of a different makeup and if fishing, beer, and Australian footy are cool here, I think folks can handle a few hoops comments. Nelson does look good. Had a lot of fun at the Stadium last night for the games, although the pre-game happy hour across the street was overrun by UW-River Falls fans.

And  yeah congrats to Bethel. Sounds like today's game could have easily gotten really out of hand and instead they hung right there.

The pick on 3rd and goal from the 3 was the back breaker.

Two years in a row a MIAC team goes down to Belton and outgains MHB. The difference being a couple of big time athletes making huge plays for MHB. Last year it was the punt return and pick six. This year the two interceptions and receiver pulling down the deep jump ball pass for a TD. The talent in the secondary and at WR won out.

True.  They have assembled a very gifted team.  I look forward to another shot next year, knock on wood.

Duff, I have that same feeling today as I did in 2002 after last Johnnies game in Texas. You might remember. Although that year I do think Johnnies were better team, but that nightmarish start nearly destroyed everything. Whereas today Cru is probably better but only barely. But same feeling of...miraculous rally, Johnnies are going to win! It's inevitable! And then....WTF. (also, coincidentally, that game, too, a Johnnies star suffered bad late-game injury, Crowley then with chest).

MIAC, you done us all proud this year.  Congrats and thanks to the Jays and Royals for going so deep and representing so well.

Tommies, tough season with great talent.

GAC on the rise.

CON, come back strong.

STO, keep trying.

HAM, CAR & AUG.  Tough year.  But you never know what comes.

Thanks all players.  It's great being a fan.

+k Oz.

This might be the last time I give you +k, and almost certainly the last time I'll announce it publicly, so enjoy.

That's for sure - I said to no one in particular when it happened that it was "all over" now.

And Kilgore and company had another great game.
