Actually, for a change of pace, I'm quite fond of beers with a touch of blueberry, and Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat is also delightful.

Oh wait. Missed the blueberry/wheat mentions. Sorry Ypsi, Canadian citizenship revoked.

That's OK - Canada is too damn cold six months of the year. I may have to check out the beer availability in Costa Rica.

Original Leinies since 1867.  :)

You still remember that first one out of the brewery?  ;)
Nope but I remember many many years ago when the draft horse barn burned down. They no longer had horses but stored cases of long necks there which they discarded. A few of us lads appropriated some of the bottles and proceeded to chill them in Duncan Creek. Did you know that the smoke from burning straw and horse um apples can actually penetrate brown longneck glass?  :)
True story.

And due to the transitive property of beer, after four bottles you could no longer detect the smokey horse-pucky flavour.  A wonderfully magical nectar.

Truth be told, we were pretty sick puppies. It wasn't  fatal however since three of us are still alive and I don't remember others specifically.  :)

Actually, I was being truthful-I don't care where SJU or UST plays, just seems unfair that a different group of players impacts the following year. But, Duff, I will listen to why you think so.

It is a well known fact that Santa and the Mrs take a short break in Aus after the big day. In addition to the beaches and relaxed atmosphere he most appreciates that there is only beer in beer.

The only thing I want in my beer is beer.

It is true.

In stocking up for a family gathering at the new cabin and folks I had not seen for years, I fell for an old marketing trick. The local liquor store had a "limit one per customer" sign over some Grain Belt Blueberry. Figured there would be some fruitbeer type in the visitors, including flakey relatives from the far coast.

The upshot: Many, many 12-packs of real beer have come and gone. I couldn't give that blue crap away.  I'm afraid to pour it out because it would kill my grass or explode my septic. I suppose there is a shot it will help degrease some old tractor parts.

My wife and SIL like Grain Belt Blue.  I always joke that they're the only ones that buy it.

A tradition unrivaled...

Mr. Ypsi

I've never had a Grain Belt Blueberry.  I HAVE had blueberry-tinged beers that were dreadful, but I DO like (occasionally) a Michigan blueberry and (especially) a Maine blueberry.  I also (occasionally) like Sam Adams Cherry Wheat.  So sue me! :o ;D

My go-to beer is and probably always will be Labatt Blue (which is NOT blue for blueberry!).  WOW - I really seem to have wandered into enemy territory! 8-)

Merry Christmas, all.  It's been a good year on the MIAC boards.  Let's hope next is just as enjoyable.

I'm probably through here for the season. I will be heading out west for some warmth and golf this winter (Happy shortest Day of the Year to all), but not all that soon enough.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. See you next season when the Johnnies will take it all.
