No doubt tomorrow's edition of the Northfield paper will have a story about Meidt's pipeline to Florida...

Which brings me back to a question I asked a few days ago - Why doesn't St. Olaf schedule a game in Florida so players can play in front of their families?

Congrats to KR on blowing by me in the karma like I was standing still.

We'll help out, but you should probably head over to the LLPP for a fill up.

Ha! Good idea, the LLPP Karma Circle Jerk is always in full swing!

But +k to KR who deserves the lead as my nominee for MIAC Poster of the Year.

BTW, were you anywhere near Spider Lake?

Don't think so, not sure where that is. I was all over Kabetogama, Namakan, Sand Point and Crane Lakes. And the Vermillion River.

If this is it...

it's verrry close to the Timberwolf Innhttp://www.timberwolfinn.com/, owned by my bud and classmate Tim Schmitz, arguably the best running back in SJU history.

Right lake but (from c. 50 year old memories augmented by family movies) wrong resort.  We'll have to try to restore some old family memories and revisit some former family summer haunts over the next few years.  The hot songs when we vacationed at Spider Lake were Green Door and Witch Doctor - so believe me we're talking old.

The Liquor store in Spicer did not have Hamm's the day that I was there. I lodged a formal complaint and left my name and phone number for the owner to call me when they get some. Damn girl working there didn't even know if Hamm's was a beer or a liquor >:(

I know the owner of that liquor store personally (his daughter is one of my gymnasts), so I'll be sure to give him hell for you- he owes me a couple favors, so it's likely we'll see Hamm's in the near future!   ;D
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Hey Everyone,
A little off topic but who would have thought that the twins winning streak would end to the Royals.  Not to mention they lost the series.  Hopefully they will get back to original form before the break and keep it going after it.  That's all I got.

No sh*t. Who woulda thunk we could knock of Roger Clemens, sweep the Red Sox and win 19 of 20 but we can't beat the GD Royals even with Meinkieqieiewietz in the starting line-up.
Let this be a lesson to those who think Boof and Brad are good names for starting pitchers.

And add AJ Pierzinski to the list of guys on the All Sox team who don't deserve to be there over Liriano let alone Morneau.

Hell, I'd rather see Jesse Crain on the All star team than AJ.

Apparently Ozzie doesn't plan on making it back to the World Series this year and if he does, he doesn't want to have home field advantage.

There seems to be something inherently wrong with 2 "1st basemen" from the same team making the All Sox team especially when neither one fully deserve to be there.

Touchdown Tommy

NL's year for all-star game= DH's who turn into 1st basemen

Bottomline: Chicago is a much larger city than Minneapolis/St. Paul and that is the sole reason that AJ beat out Liriano for the last spot (more voters to draw from).  I hope Ozzie can sleep at night knowing this will just piss off our young studs (Morneau and Lights out Liriano) and motivate them to perform even better when they play the White Sox later this season.

Chasing MILFs since '82...

Kilted Rat

I understand the DH becoming 1st basemen thing just fine, but even still, taking both those guys over Morneau, Hafner, etc is reeeeeeeeeeeeedickulas.

If Liriano isn't pitching motivated now, I'd hate to see him when he is!

When we won the 1st game against KC despite Santana having an off night, I thought the streak was never going to end.... :'(

I heard AJ on the radio this morning thanking all the fans, the voters, the city of Chicago, the White Sox organization, the acadamy, his agent, blah blah like he just won a frickin Academy Award. I'm sure it was personal for him to beat Liriano since he always hears, after his name is mentioned, the names Liriano, Nathan and Bonser  referred to as one of the most lopsided trades in the history of modern baseball. He's a gamer though, about the best I can say for him.

What you talking about, Fins.

I am worth all 3 of those guys plus that Mauer kid.

;D

I'll be happy to accept your thanks, on behalf of the SF Giants organization, for taking AJ off your hands and providing you with Liriano and Nathan and (can't remember the third guy).  I do apologize for letting AJ get off to the Sox, but we couldn't be expected to put up with him for more than a year, could we?   :P
