For me, it was the 2002 Semifinal game at Trinity, TX.  We got down early and nearly came back in the end.  Then, their QB got arrested for public intoxication that evening and was suspended from the Stagg Bowl.

A tradition unrivaled...

20k is about what I was thinking. Sure, they could sell more tickets for a game in the cities at a larger venue, but I don't think that's necessary. We'll get that this year with Allianz and then one last (??) trip up to SJU next year. A perfect ending (maybe).

I certainly see the appeal for ending the Series at SJU, rather than a neutral site, from the perspective of fans of either schools.  As a third party, I'd just be really curious to see how many they could get to TCF bank given the added appeal of the final MIAC matchup for the two.

Is there any chance that the final edition of UST / SJU as a MIAC game could be played at TCF?  Given that they got so many to show up at TGT field, and Allianz is apparently sold out, it doesn't seem like a bridge too far that it could be mostly full for the last of series as a MIAC game, and possibly ever?

Would SJU give up a game at Clemens for that?

Probably never.
Has SJU considered the 17k to be at/beyond capacity for the game and turned folks away? Having been to a few of those, I could see them packing even more folks in to Clemens for it. The parking and general logistics can be a bit of a mess if you don't come early for tailgating, but I think there is room in the bowl.

In order to get 20K plus on campus they would need to establish an off campus parking and bus shuttle service onto campus. I think 20k would be the max at Clemens unless some significant temporary seating were installed.

Does Clemens have an official capacity due to fire code or some such thing?

Yeah, I'm betting if it got moved to TCF they'd be able to sell out the entire stadium. On that note, has TCF ever been been completely sold out outside of when the Vikings were playing there as a stopgap before US Bank Stadium was completed?

I can see the appeal of a final game at Clemens, but to see them get sent off with 50k watching would be beyond cool.

Regarding the 2020 edition of Johnnie/Tommie, the schedule posted on the Johnnie web page has the game listed as being scheduled in Collegeville for November 7, 2020.  2020 is the start of the 2 year schedule rotation in the MIAC that normally occurs (home/away for 2 years on the same general date and same general conference schedule, then re-shuffle and start over the next 2 years).

Gophers are home that day vs. Purdue.  The dream is dead...

I hope the Johnnies never play a home game outside of Clemens (short of forced reasons like an unplayable surface).

What is the worst beer you have ever consumed?  I have three nominations in no particular order:

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis Hefeweizen- Had their pale ale and enjoyed it so I thought I would try some of their other beers.  I didn't read the label that mentioned a hint of bananas and cloves (to be fair, I don't care for bananas).

Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss- It's berry, berry bad.

Kona's Koko Brown Ale- I do like most of Kona's beers and brown ales in general, but this one is really bad.  Got it in a sampler pack, so I only had to drink 3 of them.

Canadian Ace hands down. I am probably the only one on this board that ever had it as the brewery (in Chicago) was demolished in 1976.  :)
Billy Beer made by Cold Spring Brewery was pretty bad.

Most of which would be related to being underaged at the time.North Star, Pfeiffer's,Hauenstein, Fox Deluxe. They were all bad, but for a 15 or 16 year old your favorite beer was what the old man had in the beer fridge. :D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

For me it's a close run between Bintang's formaldehyde special and Fiji Gold.  Fiji Gold was created because when one more tinnie (aluminium can) of Fiji Bitter is about to make you vomit from the horrid taste, you knock back a Gold and the FB tastes like melted chocolate again.

By itself, it can be a little sweet. Paired half and half with Shandy or dark beer (Guinness), it is actually really good!

The worst I've ever had was Dark Lord by 3 Floyds.  Usually a very solid brewery (and I'm sure, technically speaking, Dark Lord is a well done beer). But while you expect most Russian Imperials to be heavy and sweet, Dark Lord took both to the extreme, and was almost undrinkable.

I can't recall who made it (I probably repressed the memory), but it was one of those Christmas ales.  I was in charge of beer for our neighborhood Christmas party, so I got a few "winter variety packs", and well, all the leftovers came home with me.  I recall that it included nutmeg and cardamom, both of which I enjoy, but not in beer.  There were three in the pack.  I choked down one and dumped the other two, which rarely happens.
