If we make some money then we will have to have an annual road trip meeting at the Hamm's Club monument!  ;)

Just because I've given her all MY money, doesn't mean she still has it. My money PLUS hers and she still has credit problems.
Plus, she'd probably try to talk people out of buying our wares. Like, maybe instead of all 12 beers, maybe you should just buy 6 of the 7 ouncers here. The bottles are sooo cute, aren't they? Plus, you'd feel so much better in the morning and I know your wife wants you to clean the basement and the garage tomorrow.

Alright, nuff. Funny thought but, just us guys please.

Fin Man, happy to see you are not bitter.   ;)

I agree 100% on the just us guys part. ;D

BDB, when are you holding the first potential investors meeting?

I worked for the Miller Distributor in the Twin Cities one summer during college.  Delivered the beer to liquor stores, golf courses, bars, and restaurants.  I can say without question that in MN there is no state law regulating the sale of beer in the manner BDB just describe to artificially control prices.  Quite often the distributors (as Frank will confirm later) give a price break per case when the big accounts order large quantities.

BDB: I can't speak for them, but I have a hunch that Dusty SJU (who is on an extended offseason hiatus) and Veek would want a piece of the action.  Are you planning to attend any SJU Stiftungsfestivities this fall?

TDT, see above post.

Anybody notice that this guy has a Hamm's Bear lapel pin?

And the guy behind him is wearing a Hamm's Bear sportcoat?

We gotta party with these dudes!  8)

How 'bout Eau Claire?  We could use the extra day the holiday affords to check out locations.   8)

Fins will have to be my proxy if it's on the 9th.  Someone keep him upright, please.

The theme for the Johnnie-River Falls game on September 9 will be honoring media celebs. Invites have gone out to Austin Murphy of Sports Illustrated, Terri Traen of KQRS and Buck Rock ' N Roll Zumhofe. Anyone on this board know how to get ahold of "Frank the Tank" at the St. Cloud Times? We should probably also invite Patrick Reusse of the Star Tribune and Bob Sansevre of the Pioneer Press. Any other ideas on who we should invite?

What would a celeb media gathering be without "Shooter" Walters from the Press?

JR - Do you have Austin's address or email?  I wanted to invite him to the "Parka Party" we're throwing for #2 son next month before he heads off to MN.  I'm holding AM at least partially responsible for this ...  Besides, I want to recruit AM's son Devin for my son's high school - he seems like he has all the tools.   ;D

BDB-- thanks for the tip on gas prices...I filled up about 1130 today and got lucky at 2.81... the same station is now asking 2.99...saw a couple at 3.05 & one at 3.13

mm, glad it worked out for you.

It's a weird world in the fuel retail biz these days. Used to be the only time I would go out and take the numbers down from the price sign was to clean the bugs off.

Same numbers went back up.

Not anymore. Right now, any disruption in flow of product may create lines at the pumps. We are that close.

If the MIACPP wants me to, I will keep everyone in tune with the oil world.

It's what I do 365.

I don't know if you guys have checked out R Kelly's hip hopera, "Trapped in the Closet," but it is some of the funniest stuff ever...especially since he thinks it's serious and great...this site tells all about it and has links to each of the chapters.

We'll usually have case buy where the account will pay less per case when they purchase at a certain level.  Also, we'll get deals for periods of time throughout the year from breweries where their products will on deal, so if the account buys at certain levels, they pay less per case.  Also, sometimes we will get "deep deals" where the account buys quite a bit of the product, quite often this coincides with sales at the accounts.

I have it on good authority that TDT had not worked a day in his life until after college — from a buddy of his who's somehow been friends with him since 2nd grade that I ran into at a work convention.

TDT's idea of work must be pounding brews around town on his mommy's credit card...
